I prefer NicoB and others like him (Super Butter Buns and her friends, for instance) for entertainment on youtube.

I might well try and muscle in on the prank video / vlog thing if my finances go the promising direction they're trending toward right now.

3 days ago Deji apparently tried to start shit and suffered the indignity of being slapped out by Jake Paul.

The only way that could've been more humiliating would be if Jake followed it up by shouting "WHAT ARE THOSE!?" at Deji's feet.

A pre-roll ad plays and then it just STOPS for 5 seconds, with the thumbnail on-screen and no call-out function, before just playing the main video. *_* This only happens during non-skippable ads.

Remember: Ads are how websites earn their money and that Youtube is dedicated to providing you an easy, non-disruptive streaming experience.

Well, the boxing match happened.

Logan v. KSI was a majority tie, though some are saying with the one point to KSI in one of the rounds it should've gone to him, though it seems boxing's rules differ.

Jake v. Deji...was a Curb Stomp Cushion. Deji damaged Jake's nose, and that was basically it. I am sorry to say, but Jake Paul destroyed him. Not that surprising when you consider Deji was fairly open about not having any prior fighting experience, but still, we are going to have to listen to him go on and on about this for...what? Months? Years?

Great. Now the argument of who wins will NEVER end.

Just don't go on either of their channels? Problem solved.

I mean, you don't even like either of them, based on your earlier posts, so I don't even know why you'd even expose yourself to this.

...And I had ten dollars on Logan winning this. How does a tie work in bets?

Apparently the arguments are raging on Twitter.

From what I saw of it, Logan dominated the first two rounds, but he started losing steam in the third, where KSI struck him only just after the bell rang. The fight was not announced to proceed yet.

I don't hold us as being "too intellectual" or something to talk about this.

This significantly expands what social influencers and social media personalities are able to do.

Social media people can draw in multi-million dollars in revenue for such an event. That's pretty freaking serious money right there.

None of it is new. It's just that the "Thing" happens to be a boxing match.

Plenty of social media people have managed to make events that earned them fortunes. "You can leverage popularity to make cash" isn't a new thing.

It's not about being "intellectual" it's just... why are we giving this the time of day?

Because it's about two somewhat well-known Youtubers, and this is the Youtube thread - anything happening on Youtube or through an extension of Youtube is worth talking about.

Also, televised violence.

I didn't care that much since I don't watch KSI, the Paul brothers, or Deji.

I for some reason don't really watch all the super popular Youtubers.

I don't mind if others like them, I've simply never been interested in their content.

It was a disgrace of a boxing "match" (with a very obviously rigged result) that's basically a stain to the sport (and the very word "boxing") between some idiots with inflated ego. The trash talking was disgusting even by Boxing's low standards, with KSI calling Chloe Bennet a whore and getting his fans to chant it. Boxing hasn't sunk that low since Mike Tyson threatened to "fuck you until you loved me" to a random reporter.

Then there's the poor kids whose first contact with boxing will be through this fight and are now flooding the boxing community obnoxiously talking about it and pretending like they know anything.

I wasn't a fan, no.

I mean, obviously this match wasn't going to even remotely resemble real boxing and was just a big attention whore-fest from the beginning. That's why I question why we're even acknowledging this; we're just giving them what they want.

Being desperate for attention is pretty much the raison d'être for Internet personalities, specifically YouTubers since You Tube is a breeding ground for thoughtless behavior. This was an exercise in stupidity.

Youtube was always an breeding ground for idiots. Anyone remember Fred and the Annoying Orange?

Heh, those were fiction shows, so I try not to judge when it's made up stuff even if it's stuff I didn't like.

The dude making Fred was just playing a character. Not an actual jackass (AFAIK, not like I followed his personal life).
