So you're saying there are copious amounts of complaining?
Which of these Acceptable Targets tropes did relatively recently have a TRS?
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.I believe Cultural was the most recent. They all end up here in the end, though.
Belief or disbelief rests with you.Maybe the real life should be excised.
Almost all of this is whining about Real Life, not documenting tropes in the media. Burn it. If someone thinks they can make an actual trope about specific stereotypes or character types used in media then let them.
Not to mention, some of it is really odd, or is already covered by other tropes.
Since when was there bigotry against men with cats?
Rail Enthusiast is already its own page. Why does it need to here?
Fan Girls is its own page. Why do we need several bullet points of natter here?
Girl-Show Ghetto is its own page. Why cover it here?
Cosplay is its own page.
Indexed and Nerdy is an entire index worth of geek related tropes.

Wow, this one's pretty bad, half of the categories don't even have examples beyond "yeah this happens" and the few examples that are listed just seem to be people in that category complaining about the trope (there's even a note saying, "expect the below examples to be... passionate. And angry." which goes completely against How To Write An Example) not to mention the the important categories already have their own pages.
How did this get through YKTTW? I say cut it.
What is this "sleep" you speak of?You need a better idea than cutting when it has 72 inbounds.
Turn into index, redirect, such things.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFine, if it can't be cut then I support what Catbert and animeg 3282 suggested.
What is this "sleep" you speak of?This page is just bitching about bitching. It's bad enough when contributors rant about how the media mocks them. This page is contributors ranting about how people on the street mock them. It's totally irrelevant to what we should be doing here.
If prejudices against an occupation form a trend in fiction, like Everybody Hates Mimes, then make a trope page for it. Otherwise... it has no place here.
Let's direct this to Acceptable Targets as a temporary solution, until we "fix" all the pages on that index.
Either an index for actual tropable stereotypes, or redirect to the more general one.
I'm kind of leaning towards the first, as that at least keeps some kind of list of what's actually there and legit.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Support index idea. This could be used as a supertrope here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWait, since when is 72 inbounds enough to prevent a page from being cut? I thought the threshold was substantially higher than that.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!The threshold is 10.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThe limit is 10, unless the page name is nonsalvageable - which it isn't in this case.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCrownering thread.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerCalling crowner. The top three options have consensus and should be implemented. The splitting option is secondary, but should be implemented if someone is willing to do it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI started the conversion and made Sandbox.Acceptable Hobby Targets for the sorting of the remaining Acceptable Hobby Targets.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAny progress here?
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Before anything else, I want to know if we should keep the single descriptions here, or if this is going to be a bare-bones index.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt it becomes a bare-bones index, why not just merge it with Acceptable Targets?
Acceptable Targets is an index of the various "Acceptable X Targets" Audience Reactions. It ain't an index of specific forms, behind the general topic.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanNone of the others seem to be a bare-bones index, though.
None of these are indexes either
Was thinking of too many things at once.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI have added the last items to the index. If nobody wants to take the examples on Sandbox.Acceptable Hobby Targets to YKTTW, I'll cut the examples from the main page and request closure.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
There are a number of things wrong with this page, including the lack of a description, the copious amounts of complaining, the fact that's it's more like a footnote (containing few actual examples), the copious amounts of complaining, the huge numbers of real life examples, the bad layout of the page, and the copious amounts of complaining.
It to be at least cleaned up, if not completely redone.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.
