Well, somebody needs to inform a mod. Because not only did it go completely over the heads of the P5, but it actually undermines efforts to review pre-P5 cuts that were appealed.

Or maybe I should just PM Panctice Squad Cutterback. I thought I had already done that, but that was three other people.

The next question is can said page be restored. Or at least, the pages still awaiting review?

Sorry if this has been already brought up, but has Chugworth Academy been cut? The main page is only three sentences.

Sankaku Complex... ugh, never thought I'd have to re-review the page for this paedo-pandering shithole so soon. What should we do with this page?

The problem with all this stuff we're (uhh... you're) cutting is to remove stuff we don't want to even imply to endorse, right? Well, then we should treat Sankaku under the same rules. I'm of course against cutting it (as I am for everything on this site, but that's not worth arguing about again), but it being a somewhat popular website shouldn't bar it from being judged under the same measures as everything else P5 has gone over.

You know, I could have easily missed an article that was, but I never really got the sense that the site's writer(s) was actually pro-lolicon/pedophilia, but that the a lot of the commenters were, and the writer(s) is tolerant of that.

I could be wrong, but that's the impression I get.

Do as you want with the article.

[down]That's about an impression I get.

I always got the impression he just wrote tabloid articles to get as much traffic as possible, that's why half of all the articles are inflammatory.

@3944: Figuring out what exactly the grounds for removing Recs is and getting a clear definition of where the line is for what qualifies as porn. Anything that has NSFW content, as is implied by the actions of people going in and cutting them, or if there's actually a merit level that can be achieved where the overall quality of the work can outwigh the fact that there's a porn scene.

EDIT:

Looking at the work list, starting from the back where things are sitting with Multiple Devil Heads and Angel Heads:

- FanFic.The Mating Frenzy is something I'll take the time out to read; 3 chapters in it doesn't seem very bad, mostly being Cracky, but that might change further in.

- Literature.Talesof MU should be cut; it has some literary value, but it's buried under so much BDSM and gorn (including one of the main characters -ordering a dead body in order to eat it-) along with some content involving other stuff I won't get into. Suffice to say that I stopped being able to read it because, despite what value it has, it's buried in a bunch of stuff we probably don't want on Tv Tropes.

- Shredded Moose should probably be cut, seeing as it's no longer available online.

- Webcomic.NSFW Comix is rather a clear cut case, but it might fall under the same umbrella as Oglaf, so...

EDIT 2:

Why is Jay Naylor flagged with two devil heads?

I perfectly know of Sankaku's "tabloid" style but even as you say, they still pander to a "lolicon" audience. "I do not really care about paedo-pandering stuff but I put it on my site and look like I endorse it to attract viewers". So what's your point?

Personally, to keep with No Such Thing As Notability, I'd say fanfics that were mostly plot should qualify in the same way other material that's mostly plot does. As someone who once wrote Slash Fic, I can definitely verify there's some even there that doesn't exist solely to see two guys fucking.

(That's a bit of a contentious issue in Queer Media in general - most doesn't shy away from details or sex. Some writers, artists, etc are uncomfortable with the focus on sex in it and want to see more G to PG-13 Queer Media because not everyone who is GLBTQI is an adult and being GLBTQI is not about sex alone, yet others think that avoiding sex is merely But Not Too Gay or Hide Your Lesbians. Flame War has broken out in discussion of this.)

As someone who's been following Tales Of MU for a while, I can say with certainty that the sexual content, while still prevalent, is not nearly as concentrated as it was and that there's quite a bit of plot going on right now. I'm one of its page's curators and can answer just about any question the P5 has regarding it.

[up] If you're asking "is the sex the entire point", then that's a definite no. The sexual material is fairly explicit but nothing worse than I've read in a lot of more mainstream works in terms of content and prose, except that a lot of it is BDSM-themed to varying degrees. Looking at the pages for the other works on the Erotic Literature page, I can't imagine that it's worse than those, and Oglaf is more saturated with sexual content than ToMU.

EDIT: I just realized something - the work page mentions a side project, More Tales of MU which revolves around a different cast and, from what I understand, has a lot of gay sexual material. I haven't read any of this, so I can't comment on it one way or the other.

Shredded Moose should probably be cut, seeing as it's no longer available online.
That's not really a reason. I'm a little confused, first you ertr saying 5P can't find, let alone cut, everything that violates the guidelines, now you're saying something needs to be cut for a reason that has nothing to do with the guidelines.

I voted angel on Tales of Mu, since I read through several (long, mind you) chapters at random and only encountered one sex scene in the entire bunch. It certainly seemed to focus more on the plot than on explicit sex, though it doesn't shy away from the latter.

I'm not saying Shreded Moose shouldn't be cut, only that "hard to find" isn't a good reason for cutting anything.
