All-Purpose Nasuverse Fanfiction Thread

Going back to the "servants are Humongous Mecha" idea, now that I'm a lot further in....

Saber = Escaflowne

Lancer = Gundam Wing / Wing Zero

Berserker = Evangelion Unit-01

Archer = Char's Ace Custom

Caster = ....

Assassin = ARX-7 Arbalest

Rider = Mic Sounders the 13th (wierd example compared to the others, but he does ride a hover platform)

Caster would be combined Rayearth.

Ah. I was trying to think of a Magitek mecha and wasn't having much luck. Thank ye.

Gilgamesh would be… what, the Super Van Dread? The Macross?

I was thinking he'd be either Dark Gundam or Turn X Gundam.

UNDERPOWERED! Maybe Zinv would be good enough. It has weaponized black holes and Light Hawk Wings.

Don't know that one, but the Turn A Gundam is the highest Superpower Lottery winners of all Gundam shows, and among the highest winners of the Super Robot genre, and the Turn X is its Evil Counterpart. Similarly, Grand Zamboa is the Evil Counterpart to a mecha bigger than galaxies and which can potentially cause The Big Crunch by clashing with its Good Counterpart.

Can it use WEAPONIZED BLACK HOLES and a shield a GOD couldn't crack?

Turn X? I have no idea, since admittedly I haven't seen that show.

Grand Zamboa? .... Actually, I wouldn't be surprised.

You realize it should be something the Ace custom can beat?

The Ace Custom is a Real Robot. Something that can make black holes and use a godproof shield is just a little bit much for that. Of course, if we do it in the format of Super Robot Wars, then that won't matter due to Mighty Glacier versus Fragile Speedster, Power Creep, Power Seep, Weak, but Skilled, and Badass Normal.

Gilgamesh has to be the Gun Buster.

Since the good Servants were taken already, eh, I figure Dann of Thursday can be Avenger...

So is this for actual Fate Stay Night fanfictions that have been written, or is it for ideas you might have.

Either. Both. Hardly a rigorously specified thing.

After all, "All Purpose" is there for a reason.

Berserker = Evangelion Unit-01 - to be specific, let's use the Rebuild version.

Archer = Char's Ace Custom. Alternately, some other Real Robot or mecha that could plausibly be a Badass Normal (compared to the others)

Assassin = ARX-7 Arbalest

Caster = Combined Rayearth

Gilgamesh = Mazinger Z.

What about True Assassin, though? I also just realized we don't have Rider. .... Perhaps TenRyuJin or a genderflipped Zeus Gundam?

Unfortunately, True Assassin and Assassin do not coexist if we go from the base story. ... TA will be Ali Al-Saachez in his Gundam Throne. Because evil and Middle-Eastern.

Good to hear. Now I shall unleash the beast:

The Holy Grail war has been waged multiple times, but never has anyone claimed the grail for themselves. This has happened not just in one world, not just one universe, but many. The result has always been the same. In some worlds the actions of the Einzbern family leads to its corruption, but on some rare occasions, this is avoided in some universes, but never has the grail been claimed by any one person.

All who seek the grail have wish they want granted, but there are none who have ever accomplished this. However, one being has decided that enough is enough. That being is the Holy Grail itself. When a being exists to grant a wish, what happens when it never accomplishes this? Would not the wish of such a creature be to fulfill its purpose? To grant the wish of the one who reaches it, whether servant or human, whether good or bad? The grail itself seeks to grant its own wish and achieve its purpose. It's reason for existance.

That's my initial premise. Basically, multiple grails across multiple worlds (whether corrupted or uncorrupted) all somehow join together, and become something of a super grail (a little odd but stay with me here). They pull characters from the Nasuverse (mainly Fate Stay Night and its spin-offs, but possible other worlds as well) and offer them another chance to fight for the grail, and achieve their wish. Good, bad, it doesn't matter. And it will grant their true wish, not twist it like the corrupted grail is, as this one is more True Neutral then ever before. Some of them are from alternate Universes, where things turned out slightly differently etc.

But the ultimate premise is the same. Fight for the grail and get a wish. There will be 21 servants and masters (three of each type of servant to spice things up), and it would be a nice chance to mix up the master/servant pairs (Ilya and 4th war Berserker for the win!!!).
