Yeah, the Bucky/Sam show is the only one of these I'm actually kinda looking forward to.

I love Sif, Vision and Scarlett and Sam and Bucky, so I'm looking forward to all of them.

I just want more diverse shows dammit. We have Loki and Wanda and Vision and Bucky; we need women of color! And Valkyrie and Nakia are both way cooler than Sif anyway.

The Sam and Bucky one does seem the most interesting due to them being closer to the Badass Normal side of Super Weight and because they already have well-established chemistry as a duo together.

Back on the subject of Special Effect Failure, Gamora isn't the first time this happened. I remember finding the scene of Bucky falling off the train in TFA somewhat Narmful due to how obvious it was that it was just Sebastian Stan lying down on a greenscreen floorpad was flailing his limbs about as he lay down on a greenscreened mat.

The idea of a Sword and Sandal Space Fantasy show starring Lady Sif wandering through the cosmos would be downright amazing. The idea of a Midgard-bound show about Lady Sif on Earth dealing with Asgardian weaponry or somesuch would be good, if not as great.

Several years ago I suggested a tv show about Lady Sif and the Warriors Three going on adventures. The Warriors Three are dead and buried, which is a shame.

I'm a little late on the conversation, but regarding the "we're never told the reason Thanos loves Gamora" that's have been repeated before.

You're aware the movie gives the reason no? In the scene with both Thanos and Gamora in his throne, where she says that she always hated that thing and Thanos respond he hoped she would sit there one day.

Right there, that's the reason. He was clearly looking for a successor, and I don't know about you, but if I was gonna find successor for myself I wouldn't pick someone I don't care about, even less hate.

And to that that he raised her for years, and through proud of her achievements and more he developed a twisted parental love for her. Hell, he lamented the death of Maw, his second possible choice for a successor, meaning he at least liked all of his other "sons", with exception of Nebula, for being a failure (and even then you could interpret that as his twisted way to show though love).

The movie doesn't outright tell you why Thanos loves Gamora, but the reason is there.

Hell, put her relationship with Ayo onscreen as well.

...assuming, of course, the latter is still alive.

Don't think it'd hurt to have one for both. When it comes to women of color I say the more the merrier.

Okoye as lead with Nakia as her support would be pretty cool.

I would absolutely love a Dora Milaje show, holy crap.

I think Sigrun (that's the name I'm sticking with until they reveal her real identity, that boss fight left an impression) is more into Hunks, actually.

Hell, she goes straight (heh) for Thor, presumably ignoring his Pretty Boy brother for all the weeks he stayed there.

At actress Tessa Thompson's request, there was supposed to be a scene in Ragnarok that confirmed the character of Valkyrie as bi. But it wound up on the cutting room floor because it interrupted the flow of the scene or some shit.

Also, according to Thompson, her Valkyrie is very specifically Brunhilde, the Valkyrie from the comics. 616 Brunhilde, incidentally, is also bi.

Uh you do know the wives-in-training thing have been adapted out of the movies right?

They actually are just an all-female fighting force.

No mention has been made of them being groomed to be wed to the king.

And the contrast between the technological advancement of Wakanda versus its outdated social values has been a, if not the theme of the Priest comics and those that followed him.

T'Challa actually experiencing the outside world and wanting to push Wakanda forward is shown to be a source of severe tension inside the country.

Yeah even in the comics the wives-in-training part is one of those old-timey traditions that’s technically still around but no one actually seriously practices anymore.

Aside from one instance, T’Challa has no interest in the wives bit.

Hell the Dora are allowed to have their own relationships. We have two visibly confirmed lesbian Dora’s in a relationship with each other.

To the best of my recollection, the idea of the Dora Milaje as "wives-in-training" has always been something the comics treated as a toxic and archaic tradition. Almost every run I can think of has the "wives-in-training" idea be effectively a In Name Only idea that just stuck around due tradition, but with literally nobody in current day acting like that concept is what they actually are. I don't think T'challa ever actually treated them as wives-in-training, for example, having a much more fraternal (and occasionally even paternal) relationship with them.
