Name: The Aeronaut (or The Aviator)

Real Name: Evan Alto

Gender: Male

Age: 25 or so

Alignment: Depends on who he's under. Generally a Hero, although he did have a stint as a Villain.

Appearance: A half-English, half-Italian man with aviator goggles, tends to keep a very smug smile. Gaia avvie here, Appearance here

Powers, weapons, ect:

  • Evan's consciousness is bonded with a strange extradimensional alien via an alien artifact that landed on Earth. Said alien grants powers according to the host's lifelong wish, and since Evan's wish was to fly, he is blessed with the ability to create flying machines out of thin air using only his mind.
  • As long as it's nonliving, is physically able fly by itself mechanically, there is enough space for it to be spawned, and he has the "blueprints" of it, Evan can make that appear via thinking. Airplanes, helicopters, airships, even missiles and flying cars. Acquiring blueprints can be done by either getting and studying the actual, fully detailed blueprints, or can also be performed by making contact with a flying machine for a period of time. The larger and more complex the machine, the longer he will need to make contact, to the point where large aircraft would take "days" for the alien consciousness to fully obtain the "blueprints" of.
  • Said consciousness is also technopathic, albeit only to his own spawned machines, and he can "see" through his own machines and "sense" stuff via their sensors (For example, he can spawn camera drones to act as his eyes). The number of machines his consciousness can control is nearly unlimited, although some unpleasant effects start occurring if Evan creates too many machines. (Please note that this does NOT allow him to multitask when it comes to stuff not involving control and data processing of his machines)
  • Spawned machines tend to last 5 minutes if Evan doesn't will them to continue existing. Each machine comes fully fueled and stocked with resources needed for them to perform their function, so stuff like Fuel, Water, Electricity, weaponry and such will be loaded. If a machine disappears, any fuel and parts of the machine disappear too (which means that he can't solve oil or water problems since those would disappear). They will lack human commodities such as food and drink or things like pillows and magazines in a passenger plane.

Weaknesses:

  • The more air units that Evan is handling, the less effective all of them will be. While his Required Secondary Powers allow control of numbers rivaling an air force, it still has to divert attention towards each single one.
  • At the end of the day, Evan is still a physically a regular human. Despite having some athletic and gun training, he lacks any fighting capability in close quarters, plus he can't summon explosives in close quarters or risk hurting himself from the blast or shrapnel. Finally, he's quite afraid of dying when confronted with potential violence, and if directly confronted with no way out he will easily surrender.

Personality: High-flying and pretty arrogant, somewhat perverted, but friendly and well-meaning, Evan will not hesitate to rub it in others' faces that yes, he can make aircraft and drones out of nowhere, and also tends to hit on women he finds visually appealing. Under all this arrogance is a pretty nice and helpful person who's also great with children and with a righteous personality. Is very intelligent when it comes to physics, math, aerodynamics and aeronautics, possibly due to the influence from the alien consciousness.

Name: Princess Abby

Real Name: Abigail Johnson

Gender: Female

Age: 10

Alignment: Hero

Appearance: Short kid with a black bob cut. Usually wears street clothes, but will swap it out for a knockoff Snow White outfit if she's in the mood.

Powers, weapons, ect.: The Beastmaster, able to command animals (ranging from squirrels and birds to elephants) by speaking, though it works much better if she sings.

Personality: Abby is a loud, bossy ten year old; she generally barges into others plans to get attention, and thus most others find her annoying (enough that they usually just regulate her to crowd control), but once she's cooled down enough she can be quite sweet and supportive. Her dream is to play Snow White at Disneyland, and having the power to control animals has cemented the idea as destiny in her mind.

ironcommando: The Instructor is pretty cool. I always love hero-trainer types, and his powerset is perfect for it. When you say he's not "made to fight" do you mean someone in-setting literally MADE him and gave him those powers? Or just that you as the creator wanted him to be less combat-oriented?

The Aviator/Aeronaut is pretty cool too. I like the ways you limited his power so he's formidable with a lot of utility, but not too over-the-top. I'm curious how you envision the way his aircraft materialize. Is it like, POOF! instant aircraft, or do they sort of coalesce piece by piece?

resetlocksley: Gecko sounds rad. Wall-crawling is always a classy power for heroes. Her character arc sounds scrumptious. Reminds me a bit of Skitter from Worm in the best way.

So, for my character:

NAME: Relinquish (No real name yet; I'm terrible with those)

GENDER: Female

AGE: late 20s

ALIGNMENT: True Neutral, but veers toward Chaotic Neutral when using her abilities for an extended period; Mercenary

APPEARANCE: Cambodian; just shy of 6 ft tall; stout/athletic build; most would agree she's more 'handsome' than 'pretty'; wears army surplus type clothing (or stylized riot gear when working)

POWERS: Can teleport any object being used to harm her away from its user, either bringing it directly into her hands or sending it away from both the user and herself. She doesn't have to see an object. If it's being used within her range (roughly 250 feet in any direction), she can sense it once someone commits to using it to harm her.

The greater/more immediate the danger posed to her, the less effort it takes to teleport the object. Teleporting a gun pointed at her face would be effortless, but teleporting a phone someone is using to report her to the authorities would take moderate concentration. She has enhanced aiming abilities and reflexes, allowing her to snatch a gun then instantly and accurately return fire.

She can also teleport herself or her body parts VERY short distances (about three feet in any direction). She uses this extensively in hand to hand combat, dodging blows and teleporting herself out of holds. She can simulate super-speed to an extent, e.g. throwing a punch, then teleporting her arm back to its original position rather than actually drawing it back.

Most metahumans in this setting have some psychological side effects to their abilities (referred to as an Instability). In Relinquish's case, the more times she uses her powers in rapid succession, the less impulse control she retains. She also becomes more and more of a Combat Sadomasochist. She returns to her normal personality after a few hours of not using her powers.

WEAPONS: A Morph Weapon created by a teammate; its forms include a crossbow with trick arrows, a grappling hook, and a pike with an Absurdly Sharp Blade. She also typically packs flash grenades, tasers and pepper spray. Also, jet boots.

PERSONALITY: Brash and cocky, but a consummate professional when on the job. Loves danger, not so much for the thrill, but rather for the satisfaction of pulling off difficult objectives in high stakes situations. (Plus, the more dangerous the job, the higher the payout.) Extended use of her powers can turn her into a total adrenaline junkie, however. She tries to avoid that, and is VERY good at using her abilities just enough to get the job done, seeing the challenge posed by her instability as just another way to test/prove her effectiveness.

She is the field commander for a band of highly-trained metahuman mercenaries called the Adroits. Regardless of how the group's roster grows and shrinks, she and her longtime companions Synthetic and Familiar remain the core of the Adroits. Relinquish has exacting standards, but her willingness to help develop less experienced members has earned her a respect bordering on reverence among the rank and file.

I came here to kick butt and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of butts.

Me as the creator wanted him to be less combat oriented. He wasn't made, he was born. Albeit one of the parents is some sort of extradimensional arcane being and the other is a human.

Aircraft fade in extremely quickly, making it look nearly instantaneous. That way he can actually do a skydive and immediately coalesce an aircraft around him (albeit moving at the same velocity/acceleration as he is, so he doesn't hit the floor/chair hard)

Name: Aiden Everest

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Alignment: True Neutral

Appearance: Short Black haired teen with golden eyes. He wears a white and gold light armor, which helps in aerodynamic physical abilities and a white hood, similar to those of Assassin's Creed. He is of 6 feet tall, and has a hidden wing behind him which can appear and disappear depending on whether he uses it or not.

Powers, Weapons, etc: He has 5 main superpowers, which may result in side superpowers. One of his main superpowers is Immortality, allowing him to retain his youthfulness and live forever, although he can be killed. His second main ability is Reflection, which allows him to reflect any abilities back to another target or area. His main third ability allows him to absorb energy, mana, spiritual power, etc from the target and convert it into his own power. This has to be within a range to activate. His 4th superpower is telekinesis, and his fifth and final superpower is Inviolable Power. This ability allows him to be immune to any Reality Warps, illusions, mental control, etc. It basically makes him immune to any power that is meant to violate his senses or body. The said abilities will work as long as it isn't aimed at him and physical attacks will still hurt him.

Personality: He usually is a All Powerful Bystander, but will intervene if something effects him or the ones he love, or if something piques his interest. Although he is normally nice and a typical teenage guy, he has another side of him during combat which makes him merciless and relentless. He has 3 souls within him, his own soul, one of the darkness, and one of the light. The darkness advises him on unorthodox and evil topics, while the light advises him on personal topics and acting as his conscience. The difference between these is that both acts for his interests rather than for evil or good. Aiden also uses Mudane Utility, using it to prank teachers like normal students or simply washing dishes while watching Netflix to keep himself entertained.

Darkness is not evil. It is simply a misconception.

I hope this doesn't seem OP or silly but here it goes.

Name: Prison X (cause only know his hero title)

Age: 45 years old

Gender: Male

Superpowers: Thanks to runes and contracts with demons and such, Prison can touch a creature or spirit and be brought into his body. Allowing him to house dozens of criminals mostly spirits and such that normal prisons couldn't control. But it also allows him to house spirits that are helpful that he can bring out of his body by simply cutting into his skin and letting them go. Those allowing him to sneak in a party of helpful spirits to use as a army. Of course he can only hold so much and the spirits within him can speak into his mind making it extremely uncomfortable and madding. Only his strong will allows him to survive the hell that is his mind.

Appearance: Slightly graying hair, clear eye bags, slightly long noise, greasy black hair that parts to the left side. Slightly tan completion, thin frame and deep brown eyes. Laugh lines and growing beard that is trimmed enough so it isn't to big but more then a 5 o'clock shadow.

Personality: A bit of a drunk, as it's a good way to ease his mind when the spirits become restless. But he is first and foremost a good person, willing to help any person that he sees, but his general lack of motivation means he will only help those he sees and won't go out of his way to find those that need help. Dislikes dealing with his own issues and that would require some level of self confidence that he doesn't have. Mostly he is a man that if he cleaned himself up could become a good hero but thanks to the way his powers work having a thousand angry spirits yelling in your head tends to make it difficult for one to deal with reality.

He is a character for a story I am writing hopefully you guys can tell me if he seems cool or interesting.

@Richie B I don't think that's too broken or anything. In fact, I think it makes him a pretty interesting Superhero, it builds him up to be more of a supportive role, while also putting him front and center. It's kind of cool.

This isn't much of a superhero I guess, more of a pulp hero. But, well, Batman is a superhero, so I think this counts. It's more of a basic concept in the making.

Name: Princess Julia Sandino

Alias: Blue Rose

Gender: Female

Age: Late Teens, say 17-18.

Appearance: Spanish woman of average height, long black hair and brown eyes. Wears regal clothes as Julia, as well as glasses. As Blue Rose, she puts in blue contacts and ties her hair in a ponytail, wears dark blue cape and black and white swashbuckler-ish clothing. Wears a wide-brim hat and domino mask to further hide her identity.

Alignment :Lawful Good

Power/Skill: No superhuman abilities or powers, but is at peak physical condition and trained in gymnastics. Is skilled in various skills, such as academics, swordsmanship, horseback riding, and so on.

Weapons: Howling Iron-A Rapier, the blade purely made out of silver. Crossbow Gauntlet-A wrist-mounted weapon, doubles as a grappling hook. Holy Water-Carries a bottle of the stuff, as well as pellets filled with it. Smoke Pellets White Oak Darts-Darts made from White Oak Wood.

Bio:

Julia is the Princess of a fictional, Spanish-Influenced kingdom, Julie is the heir to the throne, and as such , is the in-acting Princess. Unfortunately, she has very little power of her own. With her Father as the acting, and bumbling, king with a manipulative court, her country lies in ruin. Only the rich elites prosper while her people suffer and crime has been on the constant rise. She tries to speak up in these meetings, but her little power and the lack of support from her father keeps her opinions from being heard and is constantly rejected by the court.

Growing up, she grew up mostly in ignorance and innocents until she sneaks outside and realizes the rise of poverty and slums in her capital, the rise of bandits and criminals running about. Her sickly mother had to step down from politics and she explains it to, let's say, 8-year-old Julia that they're trying to fix things and this is just how it is until things can be fixed.

Julie grew up around various teachers who taught her various fields as a noble lady, from her swordfighting to her academic knowledge. Gymnastics was more of a hobby for her, a hobby her mother and father encouraged. As she got older, into her early teens, when her mother died and she was able to take the thrown, she realized the reason nothing was getting done and nothing was getting fixed: because the court as her father wrapped around their fingers. Julie starts to seek out unconventional teachers-such as learning from alchemists and supernatural experts.

Now that she's a grown woman, Julia takes to the streets and various towns of her country, protecting it from anything and everything that goes on int he night. It ranges from Bandits to Circus Clowns to Gargoyles to Vampires.

Sorry if this character seems too OP.

Alias: Firepit

Real Name (optional): Enoch Garfield Smoak

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Alignment: Hero

Appearance: Caucasian male with gray hair (formerly brown), glowing orange eyes (formerly hazel), somewhat muscular build, wears a red biker mask, black leather trench coat with a hood and a red fire symbol on the right side of his chest, black pants with red stripes on the sides.

Powers, weapons, etc.: Pyrokinesis, Smoke Manipulation (Delsin Rowe much? Lol), Telepathy, Somewhat Superhuman Strength, Healing Factor, Genius Level Intellect, Flight and while flying, his feet somehow transform into fire as jet boosters. He has the power to touch and absorb fire without hurting himself. He is also able to summon fire out of nowhere. Can transform into smoke to enter through vents. He has a surplus of alien DNA, which is why he has his powers. He also uses a chain whip which can ignite on fire while being used.

Personality: Very hardheaded, brash, impulsive, intelligent, strong sense of justice. Also has an immense love for classic rock

Bio: Enoch Smoak is a young archaeologist that works for a tech company owned by his father called Smoak Enterprises. His job is to find supernatural artifacts so his company can use them to power new machines, from weapons to kitchen appliances (kinda stupid, but idgaf). One day, Smoak encountered an alien artifact underneath Machu Picchu, touched it, and gave him his powers. It also turned his hair gray and his eyes orange.

After testing out his powers, a doctor took a sample of his blood, which revealed that he had a surplus of alien DNA from an ancient, celestial alien race that lived on earth before humans evolved. They were architects and travelers and had different, supernatural powers similar to Enoch's. They were called Celestians. This is the reason why Enoch was able to attain his powers. He eventually came up with a codename: Firepit

Firepit took the streets and started fighting crime. He eventually learned that the Celestians found out about him and plotted to find and kill him. Firepit fights them as well to keep earth safe from harm and preventing incidents such as the Manhattan, Sokovia, and Wakanda Incidents (I wish this character was from Marvel).

But yeah. This is my character. Enjoy reading. :)

Name: Ana Damijanic

Codename: Lupine

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Appearance: Think Ivana Baquero in Pan's Labyrinth, except with a more Elegant Gothic Lolita aesthetic. There's also a tuft of fur running down her back, and she has heterochromatic eyes; one is bright blue and the other is green.

Powers: She is perpetually guarded by a monstrous wolf spirit. In theory, it protects her and does her bidding, though the extent to which she actually controls it is questionable. She can draw the beast into herself for brief periods of time, temporarily making herself faster and stronger, though she doesn't like doing it.

History: Born in Kosovo to a Serbian mother and a Kosovar father, Ana grew up being hated by pretty much everybody and abused by her mother, who resented that Ana's mixed parentage was obvious. Desperate for a friend, Ana attracted the attention of a wolf spirit who offered to protect her, and she accepted.

At first the wolf was relatively small and harmless, but as Ana's mother continued to abuse her, it got bigger and angrier, and eventually it went off of its leash and attacked the mother. Horrified, Ana fled and located her father, but he had no more interest in raising a Serb than her mother had in raising a Kosovar, and thus sent her away to a "friend" in America.

At length, she ended up in Texas. Exactly what the "friend" did to her is not something she likes to discuss, but suffice it to say that he ended up dying in an extremely violent manner. Fortunately, Ana attracted the attention of the Vaulteens, a local team of teenage superheroes. Having been raised by a doomsday cult who had been grooming them to bring about the end of the world, they were fairly sympathetic to Ana's plight and offered her a place on their team, where she finally found some happiness.

Alas, they were a teen superhero team, and thus eventually some stupid Event came along and forced them to scatter, and Ana ended up in foster care. After a string of incidents, she has been confined to Gentle Directions, a rehab facility for superheroes, where the staff are attempting to find a way to get her to put her wolf back on a leash.

Aight so I’m new at this, I made an account just so I could do this and if this forum is dead well I’m leaving this site forever now. ( not really, it’s just sarcasm.)

Name: Ozzy Mendez

Gender: Male ( Why do have to put labels on everything? By Nathan from the tv show Misfits)

Powers: Was the reincarnation of Ramses ii, but somehow became Immortal after his 613th death. Has the ability to induce bad luck on others and can jump to different dimensions and realities via kill himself.

Origin: Ozzy is a 26 year old Egyptian who came to America in the age of 18 and has an American citizenship. He is currently roommates with his best friend Alex, a very tall, athletic and attractive man who gets the girls. Every time Alex invites Ozzy to come with him to a party, Ozzy always refuse, knowing that Ozzy can’t get a girl when he is around Alex all the time. Ozzy and Alex has been friends for a very long time ever since they were 11. They both studied in Japan and promised to become roommates and go to America, though Ozzy did not expect it wouldn’t be as fun as he thought. He saw the people were corrupted and wanted to do something about it. So one night he went out the apartment wearing nothing but black and red, with a mask and the first person he stopped was a pedophile stalker rapist and led him to the police department. His friends found out about this and thought it would be dangerous if he was the only one, so they suited up too. Smoke/ Alex, Flashbang/ John.

But all of this was before Ozzy became an infamous villain. Ozzy hunted down every single stalker, rapist, pedophiles and many other. He started making a revolution with a group of not only “special” people( super humans), but androids who were treated like slaves, misfits who were rejected by everyone and hard workers who never got what they deserved. He was now known as the Red Pharaoh.

Appearance: Casual: He is short( 170cm) and is fairly athletic. Has brown eyes and black hair. Normally wear dark clothes and long black pants. (It makes him look tall). Has a triangular shaped shaped chip in the side of his head. Vigilante suit: Wears dark red hoodie and clothes with a scarf. Although he is a boy his suit resembles little red riding hood who met Netflix’s Daredevil.

Weaknesses: Although he has power to give people bad luck, he can also jinx himself, which he finds the power very useless.( though it did save him in many occasions.) If he sees a taller and attractive woman specifically a hot model, he feels jealous and wants to kill himself for not being born tall and handsome.

He was a Vigilante/Hero at first but died three times in the worst way possible: The first one he got stabbed by his junior high school crush who turned into a badass ninja assassin. The second one he was betrayed by someone he trusted and even connected. And the third being hated and killed by the people you have been protecting for years. He then turned into a Villain, gathering “special” people and plan to start a revolution.

“ There is never true good and evil. There is only lameness and baddassery.”- me....... derp.

Real Name: Mark Hassel

Alias: Lord Hassel

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Alignment: Lawful Neutral -> Lawful Evil

Appearance: A brown-haired Caucasian man with a lab coat, with a bone necklace.

Powers: Has the power to clone deceased people and command an army of the dead, every deceased being is under his control. Also technology-savvy. It is implied that his ability to reanimate corpses comes from the use of electricity to rejuvenates dead cells.

Weapons: Electromagnetic Coil Staff

Preferable Voice Casts: Takahiro Sakurai (adult), Eri Kitamura (childhood)

Personality: A Psychopathic Manchild trying to pass off as an incomprehensible horror, in truth, he's a broken man plagued by his obsessions with obscure subjects and cannot move on.

Character Bio: A Mad Scientist and a self-proclaimed Necromancer, Mark Hassel spent half of his entire life to look for the meaning of love. He's not above writing essays after essays on things most people would overlook, using them for his inspirations for his works, and he would do everything to achieve his goals. However, his Single-Target Sexuality and his unrequited love over a person who probably doesn't even know him has led his life to an awkward situation.

Surely, he has the power to simply clone the girl he's been looking for, and he has already done that before. However, those who funded his researches are only interested in weaponizing his products for combat, bastardizing the image of the girl he has a deep fixation on. They even openly mocked him for his obsessions over obscure subjects to the point he started to avoid interacting with the others, except his own creations.

Then one day, upon the completion of his latest cloning project, his superiors forcefully took away all of his finished products and turned all those clones into bioweapons without his acknowledgement, he could do nothing but to see his beloved creation being tormented for the rest of their lives. Eventually, the girl whom he tried to impress had discovered his shady scheme and had grown to resent him, abandoning him in a deserted lab.

As a result, he's driven to despair, wallowing in self pity, believing that the he has no control over his fate and the only thing he'd have control over, or at least putting his trust on, would be the spirits of the dead inhabiting within his army of living corpses, thus pushing him to become a genuine threat.

Weakness: Anything that can kill a human being is more than enough to kill him, so long as you can fight through his undead armies and deliver the killing blow upon him.

Ok I'll take a crack at it, Super Siblings

Ember

Real Name: Kaitlyn Sloan

Age: 21

Powers: Energy-based powers. She can create blasts of fire, can control mundane fires, is immune to environmental cold, and attempt to suffocate her enemy by burning off the oxygen in the air. Ember lost her legs in an accident in childhood, and in her teen years invented a set of prosthetic legs giving her mobility back. She can make great leaps as a result. She does not expose her legs in or out of costume (She is always wearing jeans when in civvies, and her costume covers her legs completely)

Physical Description: Her pale skin is offset by fiercely red hair. When she feels an emotion intensely, her hair becomes a living wisp of red flame, because of this, she must maintain very careful control of her emotions in a public setting.

Grey:

Real Name: Brian Sloan

Age: 19

Powers: Psychic and Telekinetic Powers. Grey specializes in defense by providing force fields for his allies and slowing the enemy without actively attacking. He has a limited ability to fly. He can warp minds, he can also shoot a blast of psionic energy. One time in his storyline he has gotten this weapon forge of energy.

Physical Description: Brian is a big believer in only using his powers when it's necessary, and as a result has not allowed his telekinetic abilities to foster laziness. He is extremely athletic, and since coming to college has discovered he is "so all about" Frisbee.

Both: The story behind the two: They think they are mutants, but they aren't exactly sure(They actually got their powers from their parents). All they really know is that when they were 11 and 9, Kaitlyn's fire powers manifested and set their family's home ablaze, killing their parents and crippling Kaitlyn. It was only through Brian's telekinetic abilities and Kaitlyn willing the fire down that they were able to escape with their lives. They inherited a fortune,56,328, which Kaitlyn put into fostering her desire to learn and tinkering with various inventions, eventually resulting in her prosthetic legs. She now uses her high IQ and tinkering to create her and her brother gadgets for transportation and style.

Real Name: Princess Selethi of the noble Tanathi house of Moonstar

Alias: Captain Moonstar

Alignment: Somewhere between chaotic evil and chaotic neutral

Background: A noblewoman’s daughter on the (heavily classist and matriarchal) planet Tanath, Selethi was tired of the rules and traditions she felt trapped by, but revealed in the luxuries and privilege that came with them. She eventually left home (the first of her people to do so in living memory) and became a pirate, gathering a crew of interstellar criminals, and is now one of the most notorious figures in the galaxy.

Powers: The standard Kryptonian package plus telepathy. She commands a large pirate crew and the Skypalace, an asteroid about the size of Manhattan Island they converted into a spacecraft. When expecting trouble (defined in this context as opponents powerful enough that her invulnerability alone won’t protect her) she wears a sentient Biosuit capable of regenerating from most forms of damage and growing powerful weapons from itself.

Personality: Moonstar is notoriously hedonistic, with a limitless appetite for exotic food and sex. She revels in how much more powerful she is than almost everyone she comes across, to the point of going into battle naked unless she expects to encounter enemies that can actually hurt her. She does appreciate the art and cuisine of worlds she invades, considering her extremely isolated homeworld “boring” by comparison, but the safety and rights of the populations of those worlds are irrelevant, with those she encounters and doesn’t kill being enslaved for one purpose or another. When the superheroes of Earth became the first in her centuries of piracy to actually repel her, she developed a fixation on the backwater planet.
