(Kim looks down at Boseman and smiles. Allister, meanwhile, returns his Gengar.)
Allister: "W-wow... that— that was... incredible... my mask almost fell off from the shock... y-you are an amazing battler..."
(Kim smiles.)
Kim: "Thank you, Allister." (She looks down at Boseman.) "Of course, Boseman was the one who actually did all the battling."
Boseman: <What? No, no, no. I would not have learned how good of a battler I am if it wasn't for you. Thank you, Kim.>
Kim: "You're welcome."
(Boseman smiles— and then all of a sudden begins to flash in a purple light. Allister and Kim look down in shock at him.)
Kim: "B-Boseman?"
Allister: "W-what's happening...?"

(The Mareep looks around happily, delighted by the sight of his old home.)
Mareep: <I'm home—!>
(He promptly runs up to the farmhouse that is standing there, where a group of Ampharos and Flaafy are there waiting for him. As soon as they hear him, they run over to the Mareep and hug him.)
Ampharos A: <There you are!>
Ampharos B: <We missed you so much!>
Mareep: <Mom! Dad! Thank goodness!>
Flaafy: <Where in the world did you go off to?>
Mareep: <Well... I was picked up by a gust of wind and somehow wound up in Galar.>
Ampharos A: <Galar?! Really?!>
Mareep: <Yeah!> (He turns towards the Trainers.) <But these Trainers helped me get back home...>
Ampharos B: <They did?>
(The Ampharos turns to face Kim.)
Ampharos B: <Who are you?>
Kim: "Kimberly Bond, lingual consultant. It's wonderful to meet you." (She gestures to Paul and Strummer.) "These are two of my Pokemon. Paul's the Butterfree and Strummer's the Toxel."
Paul: <Hello there!>
Strummer: <Hey, chap!>
Ampharos B: <Oh! Hello, there!>

(Kim pauses for a few moments, then eventually starts exploring the place.)
Kim: "Well. This is... certainly interesting. It appears that nobody is here..."
(And then she notices a giant sign reading MEMENTOS PATHS on it.)
Kim: "Hm. Mementos paths...?"

Star: All right. That rose water one sounds interesting! -And with that, Star grabs one of each flavor, especially two of the rose water cubes. She thinks, - (Felix should like sampling these, and if not, I'll just share them with the others.)
-out of the corner of her eye, she spots the Crustle with the tray. She grins.-
Star: I see. I think this is enough food for today though. But if I'm ever in this part of Galar again I'll gave them a try!

-Evelyn checks her Pokédex to see what Litwick evolves into.-
Evelyn's Pokédex: Lampent, the Lamp Pokémon and the evolved form of Litwick. A Ghost and Fire type. Lampent moves around by floating through the air. Most often found in the deep forest, they now can be seen living in cities as well. The spirits it absorbs fuel its baleful fire. It hangs around hospitals waiting for people to pass on. Because this Pokémon appears just before someone passes away, so it's feared as an emissary of death. When exposed to a Dusk Stone, Lampent evolves into Chandelure.

Me: That must be your family, isn't it?
-Ian checks his Pokédex.-
Ian's Pokédex: Flaaffy, the Wool Pokémon and the evolved form of Mareep. An Electric type. Flaaffy's wool quality changes so that it can generate a high amount of static electricity with a small amount of wool. The bare and slick parts of its hide are shielded against electricity. If its coat becomes fully charged with electricity, its tail lights up. It fires hair that zaps on impact.
Me: -to the Mareep's family- I'm Ian from Nuvema Town and this is my buddy, Piku-chan.
Piku-chan: <It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.>
Evelyn: And I am Evelyn from Ballonlea in the Galar Region. My friends, Hoops, Hatty and Axon are here too.
Hatty: <Nice to meet you.>
Axon: <It's a pleasure to meet you.>

Me: That's strange... No one seems to be here except for us...
-Ian looks around, as though something feels off.-
Me: Curiouser and curiouser...
-When Ian turns around, he notices Kim looking at a sign that says MEMENTOS PATHS.-
Me: Huh? Hey, Kim. What did you find over there?
-Ian then runs over to Kim and the sign.-

(The purple flash surrounding Boseman glows brighter, and eventually... it happens.)
EVOLUTION SEQUENCE: Litwick --> Lampent (Boseman)
(The evolution sequence is unlike any that Kim has seen before. As she watches, the purple flash surrounding Boseman soon becomes a bright purple glow of ghostly energy. Seconds later, that ghostly energy- and Boseman himself- burst into flames that soar up into the air and spin around mid-air, almost like a comet, for a few moments. Eventually, the fireball comes crashing down onto the stadium floor, and when the smoke that results fades, it reveals more ghostly energy— which quickly forms into the silhouette of a Lampent. More purple light eventually fills the sillouhette, revealing a grayed-out, black-and-white, but very much real Lampent; before a final burst of purple flame gives him the signature purple-and-black color scheme of a Lampent.)
Post-Evolution Sequence
(Seconds later, the newly-evolved Boseman floats down to the floor and opens his eyes. Kim stares at her new Pokemon in shock, before breaking out into a grin.)
Kim: (delighted) "Boseman! Y-you just evolved!"
(Boseman looks down at his new form in confusion, before eventually breaking out into a smile himself.)
Boseman: <So it seems I have!>
Flocessy Ranch
Ampharos: <It's wonderful to meet you all. And Kim, thank you so much for returning our son to us.>
Kim: "You're... you're welcome. I suppose we had best be on our way back now." (She turns to leave.) "Farewell, Mareep."
(The Mareep pauses, looking over at Kim for a few moments, before eventually running up to her.)
Mareep: <W-wait!>
(Kim turns to face him.)
Kim: "Yes, what is it?"
(The Mareep pauses for a few moments before eventually speaking:)
Mareep: <Would it... would it be okay if I came with you?>
(Kim's eyes widen in slight shock.)

Kim: "I found this sign... and I am not really sure where it leads to." (She turns to face Ian.) "Should we follow it?"

-Evelyn wanders around the city, looking for Ian and Kim. Piku-chan clings to her shoulder, worried.-
Piku-chan: <I hope Ian and Kim are okay...>
Evelyn: I do too, Piku-chan. After all, it's not like them to just up and disappear, leaving us behind like that...
-Evelyn finds someone and walks up to them.-
Evelyn: Excuse me... Have you seen my friends? One is a boy with a pink scally cap, wears a T-shirt, pink plaid trousers and sneakers, while the other is a woman wearing a lab coat, blue jeans and a white undershirt, with a 2112 pin on the lab coat?
Teenage Girl: I'm sorry, miss, but I haven't... I'll let you know when I see them.
Evelyn: Thank you. -To Piku-chan- Let's keep looking...

-There is a general vibe in this cubicle farm of dread and desperation. Between the cup of coffee and adopting the same kind of body language as the rest of the workers, Gale was able to get a surprisingly large number of doors opened by others. It didn't take long for the ambient marketing materials to leave the comfortable brown oblong logo of Pokemon Masterfoods behind and pick up an assortment of other brands and their aesthetics: Gatr-gulp's garishly-colored and dynamic angular shapes, the round and friendly browns and pinks of so many chocolate bar varieties, the clash of tradition and modernity of the venerable Struggley's Gum and even one brand of Pokemon-facing milled kibble represented by an approachable yellow color scheme. Eventually though, Gale finds herself in a section of the office building represented more by half-completed logos, scattered sheets of market research and utter desperation. It turns out the metaphorical golden thread was tracing the path of his sponsor's handler straight to a meeting room with a frosted glass wall and a closed door-

Natural History Museum Gala, Malacostra Time
Cof: <Oooh. A ball. You know what they say. Phenomenal ghostly powers! Itty bitty living space.>

Hoops has captured Cof the Cofagrigus.
Hoops and Evelyn will notice that the aquarium's lileep seems to be incredibly uncomfortable. It's as if she's saying "let me help you!" Meanwhile, the kabuto she's with is trying to keep her calm.
The Luxray's wild charge succeeds in knocking over the woozy Malacostra, but does no damage whatsoever to the suit or its circuitry. It was enough, however, to knock Tommy out of her grasp. The former hostage did a barrel roll, grabbed a bag, and fled to some dark corner.
You'd think he'd be someone Salem would detect, but for some reason, he'd be registering as a blank, as though someone was clouding his aura signature. Meanwhile, the rotom-possessed camera haranguing Malacostra floated around, watching Tommy as he ran for cover.
The security guards and Hoop's Pokémon did a surprising job at helping escort the rest of the formally dressed scientists, special guests, and catering staff out of the hall. But the cost was that Malacostra's barbaracle and golisopod were taking out many of the fossils and loading them into special sacks that had been attached to their bodies. Once he came to, the kingler started doing the same thing. He was still woozy, however, and is an easy target for any of the pursuers.
The parasect and the crawdaunt, meanwhile, are still pursuing the Ninjask, all while smashing glass cases for their partners to loot later. Only the clawitzer and crabominable are unable to partake in the looting.
The golisopod, Dorito, meanwhile, struggled to get his sack in.
Gimbal, from out of view: <Thanks a bunch!>
Gimbal floats the camera downward to where the Luxray was. Her voice seems to suggest that she's confident the battle is turning in their favor.
Gimbal: <Honey, she's not going down easy with electricity. She's got some sort of circuit suppressor insulator preventing her and her suit's machineries from getting their circuits fried. Wait, I just remembered.>
The look on the face on the camera betrays should carry the idea that she's onto something.
Gimbal: <Drake, Piku-Chan, get in here. I've got a plan.>
Malacostra: Normally, I don't take— where'd my hostage go? Never mind. He's no longer useful anyhow.
Gimbal: <I wouldn't count him out just yet.>

Jane: Thanks for the heads up. My team is all psychic, so that's gotta work toward our advantage, right? Oh, and Fred's part fighting so we have that. And, aww. Your middle name's Pollyanna. That's so cute.
Sokar shocks the glass. The circuitry protecting it is no longer active, making it easy for Salem to smash and grab the large, glittery, golden ore.
For the most part, Jane just looks confused.
Sokar: <We hit the jackpot now!>

Alyesha continued cooking the other food, every now and then watching Star put the cubes into the bag. With another order being done, she placed the finished food on a plate before putting said plate on Crustle's back, causing the Pokémon to once again scurry away to deliver the food. Having done so and having gotten the payment for the cubes and the chocolate kiss, Alyesha gave a small wave of goodbye
Alyesha: "Sure thing~ But you'll never know when we meet again~ I'm travelling all over Galar"

Boseman: <UNOVA FOREVER! I have always wanted to do that.>
(Kim smiles, before turning towards Allister. The latter approaches her.)
Allister: "Well done... Kim... t-that was a-an incredible battle... p-please take this... the Ghost Badge..."
(He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a badge with a stylized purple will-o-wisp on it. Kim smiles and takes it.)
Kim: "Thank you very much, Allister."
Allister: "O-oh! And also... please take this too..."
(He takes out a purple disc this time. Kim takes it and sees it.)
Kim: "Hex? Well, I suppose I could teach Strummer this move when he evolves. Thank you, Allister."
Allister: "Your next challenge is in Ballonlea..."
Kim: "I know. And I know exactly who I'm using against Bede."
(With that said, she leaves.)

(Kim enters holding the Ghost Badge, with the newly-evolved Boseman standing by her side. Er, floating, actually.)

Paul: <Well, shouldn't you— y'know, shouldn't you ask your family if it's okay with them first? Y'know, I— I don't think that your family would be okay with—>
Ampharos A: <Our son... with a Trainer?!>
(Paul suddenly turns to face the Ampharos— who is glaring down at his son, along with the other Ampharos. Mareep stands there, nervously.)
Mareep: <W-well... I mean, I...>
Ampharos A: (in a very serious tone) <That... is...> (and then he breaks into a grin and hugs his son with delight) <AMAZING--!>
Mareep: <Wait... you're not mad?>
(The second Ampharos grins with delight and walks over to her son.)
Ampharos B: <Mad? My boy, why would we be mad at you?! We've wanted this for years!> (She sniffles, then turns to Kim.) <Kimberly Bond, right?>
Kim: "Yes."
Ampharos B: <We'd be honored to have you as our son's Trainer.>
(The Mareep sees this and happily runs up to his new Trainer, who takes out a PokeBall.)
Mareep: (delighted) <HOORAY-! Thanks, mom! Thanks, dad!>
Ampharos A: <You're welcome, son! We're so proud of you!>
(Ampharos B sniffles.)
Ampharos B: <Look at him... he has a Trainer... our son's already growing up...>
Flaafy: <Good luck!>
(The other Flaafy and Ampharos wave at him. Kim, meanwhile, throws the PokeBall. Seconds later, the Mareep goes inside of it. The ball falls to the floor, and shakes three times, before the center of it glows yellow, signifying capture. Kim picks it up and grins.)
Kim: "Does he have a name?"
Ampharos A: <He does, actually.>
Kim: "Oh?"
Ampharos B: <Yeah, it's "Growl.">
Kim: "'Growl?' As in the Pokemon move?"
Ampharos A: <No, as in Dave Growl. You know, the guy from the Foo Fighters.>
Kim: "Ah-hah... I think you mean Dave Grohl."
(The Ampharos' eyes grow wide and they turn to look at each other.)
Ampharos A and B: <...oh.>
Paul: <Well, it fits with the musical theme that Kim has going on, so— so that's good!>
Strummer: <Yeah, most o' us are named after musicians.>
(And then they hear someone barfing. Confused, the group looks towards Hoops— and see that they are throwing up into a bush.)
Paul: <Hoops!> (He flies up to them.) <Y-you alright there?>

Evelyn's Pokédex: Lileep, the Sea Lily Pokémon. A Rock and Grass type. Lileep became extinct approximately a hundred million years ago. This ancient Pokémon attaches itself to a rock on the seafloor and catches approaching prey using tentacles shaped like flower petals. It sticks to rocks with its powerful suckers and can't be washed away no matter how rough the surf gets.
Evelyn: Of course, you can help us, Lileep...
-Yuki drops Raru at a certain point and Raru stands ready to assist Hoops' Ninjask.-
Raru: <Okay, here I go...>
-Raru's eyes glow a soothing pink as he focuses on Parasect and Crawdaunt, telepathically relaying the command "sleep!" into their minds as he sends soothing waves of energy in their direction, making sure as to not hit Ninjask.-
Yuki: <You deal with the ground troops, I'll bring the fight to Malacostra!>
-Yuki then looks to the Rotom-possessed camera and smiles.-
Yuki: <Worry not... I'll take it from here.>
-Yuki flies arounds Malacostra, giving off a cold wind as taunts Malacostra.-
Yuki: <You know, Malacostra, there's a joke about people like you... But since we're in the presence of ladies, I won't say it.>
-Piku-chan nods to Gimbal as he follows her. It's clear that the Rotom-camera has a plan.-

-Salem smirks as Sokar weakens the glass around the gold ore.-
Salem: Thank you, Sokar...
-Salem then smashes the glass with his fist and grabs the ore with the hand opposite the one he swiped at Ian with.
Me: You're not getting away with this!
-Ian reaches for his belt and pulls out another Poké Ball.-
Me: Oshawittle! I choose you!
-Ian presses the button on the Poké Ball and out comes Oshawittle. At that time, Salem hands the gold ore to Sokar so he can retrieve a Poké Ball of his own.-
Salem: Ravage them, Kuro!
-Salem throws the Poké Ball and out comes Kuro, his Houndoom. Kuro, upon coming out of his Poké Ball, lets out a howl.-
Kuro: AWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Me:So that's a Houndoom!
-Ian checks his Pokédex.-
Ian's Pokédex: Houndoom, the Dark Pokémon and the evolved form of Houndour. A Dark and Fire type. In a Houndoom pack, the one with its horns raked sharply towards the back serves a leadership role. These Pokémon choose their leader by fighting amongst themselves. Long ago, people imagined its eerie howls to be the call of the grim reaper. They spew flames mixed with poison to finish off their opponents. They divvy up their prey evenly among the members of their pack. If you are burned by the flames it shoots from its mouth, the pain will never go away.
Me: You have the advantage, Oshawittle! Use Razor Shell!
Salem: Use Crunch!
-Oshawittle takes his scalchop off his tummy and draws his sword, with which he slashes at Kuro, who just as quickly bites down on the blade.-
Salem: You're quick, but my team was MADE for the hunt! I specialize in hunting Psychic and Fairy type Pokémon. And I see the little lady has a decent deal of 'em...

Luxray: <If you have a plan, small one, I would be glad to assist you. These old bones can only battle all out for so long.>
Meanwhile, Ninjask is desperately trying to avoid the pokemon that are chasing her.
Ninjask: <You know, guys, they have a sign that says don't touch the exhibits. It feels like you're going out of your way to break that rule.>
They fly over Hoops, who examines Cof's pokeball for a moment before releasing him into the fray.
Cof: <And... that was plenty of time. I felt like I slept for another thousand years!>
Hoops: It was barely ten seconds. Now, could you help Drapion?
Cof: <Absolutely, boss! You want it done, it's already done! But how should I help him? I'll figure it out, you know?>
He disappears sinking into the floor and then emerges seconds later behind Crabominable, shouting loudly.
Cof: <Here's... Cof!>
At the instant that Crabominable is distracted, Drapion hits it with a powerful Poison Jab. Behind him, Vibrava and Poliwrath keep fighting the pokemon that are looting the fossils, with varying success.

-Stepping back from an arc of red lightning released from a power line, the way forward lit by alternating arcs of lightning and blue flames erupting from gas mains-
