Baal, suave voice: <He can understand you, but cannot reply in your language. So I shall speak for him. I can use my illusion powers to mimic the sound of your specific dialect.>
Upton was well aware of what his partner was trying to do.
Upton: You do know that she's way past laying age, right?
Baal: You just don't get the appeal of the silver foxes, do you.
Upton: I dunno. She appears to be some sort of ape.
Baal: Potahtoes.
He turns to the very elderly conkeldurr and does a facial gesture that is definitely meant to be interpreted as flirty to conkeldurr.
Baal: <Well, madame. While my companion here babbles in his degenerate human language. Shall we get to know one another? You single?>
Upton: <A squaking sound of aggression commonly associated with birds, in this case it's trying to signal that he wants Baal to stop being a flirt; i.e. "what the fuck are you doing; stop it!" But I chose to translate this as a squaking sound because it sounds more birdlike that way.>

Upton: Ma'am I am so sorry if his behavior offended you.
Baal receives an electric shock from somewhere, briefly reverting to his partly-robotic Zoroark true form in the process. He can somehow speak human again.
Baal, in Galarian: Did you just shock me, you insolent little glitch? You could've killed me!
Upton, embarrassed: Dude... I didn't mean to. I'm sorry—wait what did you call me?
Beck and his beetlemons stand up.
Baal: Let's de-escalate. Look, I'm sorry if I made this awkward—
Upton: I... I... overreacted. I didn't know... I shouldn't have... I should go.
Baal: Upton, I forgive you. It's okay.
Upton stands up and walks away. Baal tries to follow, only for Beck to take action.
Beck: Whoa there, doggo. Give him his space. Let him cool off a bit. And I'll see you to the Pokémon center if you're injured in some way. Jules, follow him.
Jules: Aye.
Baal: He didn't damage anything. I should be fine.
He dons the same accent and turns to Mama.
Baal: <Madam, do forgive me for coming a bit too strong. I hope this doesn't sully our introductions. My name is Baal and my companion's name is Upton. He's... not a typical human.>

Baal: <And do not think this was mere static electricity. He is capable of delivering powerful electric shocks. Upton and I were from the same facility, not in this universe but a facsimile of it. We would have had versions of ourselves here but they are likely all dead. Pokefutures used sophisticated cloning technology and ancient artifacts to clone the cells of Zapdos, and they wanted to create a being with Zapdos' power in a form they can control. They tried to fuse Zadpos' cells with those of humans. Upton was the result of that experiment. He's a glitch. Dr. Phineas was his creator; he freed us from the facility after he questioned the morality of his experiments. We ended up in this universe by accident but we kind of settled in.>

Domino had been silent for most of the presentation. Honestly he didn't understand half of what was being talked about, only that there was book of some kind they had to steal from another group.
A bad group, if what Ma'at said was true. One that, from what Domino understood, overhunted.
He also heard about the repercussions of working for these people, though it didn't mean much to him. He was a hunter who worked with other hunters.
