- Accidental Aesop: The episode subverts the Joker’s Freudian Excuse: Ryder does not become a deranged killer like the Joker despite being put through the same chemical bath. Despite his madness, the Creeper doesn’t commit any crimes, even paying for his costume.
- Ensemble Dark Horse:
- "Thriftie", a clothing store worker who only appeared in this one episode. She watches completely stone-faced as The Creeper ransacks the store looking for a new superhero outfit, snarking at his comments the whole time. Fridge Brilliance if you think about the question: Where does every masked supervillain in Gotham get their clothes the first time they reveal themselves as such? They certainly don't sew them themselves. So for her, it was Tuesday.
- The episode did a lot to boost the Creeper's popularity even outside the series.
- Fan-Preferred Couple: Many people ship Creeper with Harley, since he isn’t a domestic abuser like the Joker.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- The Joker accuses the Creeper of ripping off his act. Jeff Bennett would later voice Joker on Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
- "Thriftie" is a girl dressed in green with a bob-cut hairdo, voiced by Elizabeth Daily, best known for voicing Buttercup, another girl in green with a bob-cut hairdo.
- One-Scene Wonder: The Thrift Store Clerk, named "Thriftie" by fans. Her take on The Creeper's attempt to find a new outfit for himself is so deliciously jaded she has her own fan club. Then again, she lives in a town where a guy dressed as a bat goes around fighting costumed freaks on a weekly basis: she's used to the crazy in Gotham by now.
