- Animation Age Ghetto: Definitely avoided the ghetto. The main characters are children living through the horrors of war. While most of the violence is toned down, there is still plenty of (mostly offscreen) death, dead bodies, explosions, and plenty of Adult Fear, all of which is treated maturely.
- Language Barrier: When a group of French kids meet an English airman, they communicate surprisingly well despite not knowing each other's languges. Could fall under Bilingual Dialogue.
- What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: The show shows plenty of violent situations accurate to the realities of World War II, and its targeted to a younger audience.
