- Anti-Climax Boss: Despite being the supposed ultimate form of the Redeemer, the Metatron is a rather easy for being a Final Boss due to his attacks being slow and predictable not to mention that he regularly opens himself for attacks very often in between the attacks.
- Awesome Music: "Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth" is a catchy, hardcore and intense song that definitely fits in a Spawn game.
- Can't Un-Hear It: David Sobolov as Malebolgia.
- Cult Classic: Many diehard fans of Spawn love this game for being faithful to the source material and wanted a remake for this generation's consoles.
- Demonic Spiders: Space Station Crews starts out with a barrier that renders them Immune to Bullets and damages Spawn if they come too close. Only Necro attacks can harm them however if they take damage, they will teleport and cause Spawn to lose his target. Even with the barrier down, they're still rather resilient and have wide reaching attacks that are really damaging. Because of this, it is actually recommended to ignore them until the Control Room as they're not worth the grind especially due it being the last level before the Final Boss.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- Before Mortal Kombat had a crossover with Spawn, there was also Mortal Kombat: Armageddon which came out 14 years before Spawn became a Guest Fighter.
- Violator in this game is voiced by Steve Blum. He would later voice Baraka who would encounter Spawn in Mortal Kombat 11.
- No Problem with Licensed Games: It is undeniably the best Spawn game so far, but still not a good game in general.
- The Problem with Licensed Games: The game isn't that great to play with repetitive battles shown.
- Rated M for Money: The game is filled with bloody violence and profanity to justify the M-rating.
- Signature Song: Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth by Marilyn Manson, which appears in both the opening and end credits.
- Special Effects Failure: The graphics for Malebolgia are worse than in the 1997 film.
- That One Level: The Angel Space Station is one long maze where you need to destroy each energy reactors in order to power a lift that would take you to the control room. Only problem is that it is very difficult to navigate besides the colored warps. Not helping the case is that each room is filled with Space Stations Crews and Angel enemies although fortunately, you don't need to fight any of them aside from the Control Room especially due to it being the last level before the Final Boss, making the grind unecessary.
