- Captain Obvious Reveal: The second Scaler mentions his Disappeared Dad was also named Leon, it simply becomes a waiting game for the plot to confirm what you already suspect.
- Popular with Furries: This game found a fan base with scalies for the concept of a boy who transforms into a shape-shifting chameleon superhero, with his default form getting the most fan art by far. It helps that Bobby Jenkins finds his lost (and also transformed) father who is very accepting of his new form, and they both eventually return home with Bobby back to normal but with the implication that maybe Bobby got to keep his reptile form. This game overall, also has a prehistoric vibe to it that may draw dinosaur fans too.
- Retroactive Recognition: The titular character is voiced by Matthew Mercer, in one of his first roles.
- That One Boss: The Rattlecrab. Have fun chipping away at its health, whilst having to simulatneously attack its weak spots and fend off the enemies it shoots out!
