    • Film uses also as songs other popular poems of Jan Brzechwa (book’s author) like Kaczka Dziwaczka (Weird Duck) or Leń (Lazybones)
  • Travels
    • Latający Holender to ja (The Flying Dutchman is me) sung by Janusz Rewiński.
    • Z poradnika młodego zielarza (From young herbalist’s guide).
  • In space
    • Dyscyplina (Dyscypline) sung by Principal Kudłacz himself, where he sings with too big engagement about beating studens.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Principal Kudłacz is one of the most remembered characters from In space because of his Large Ham presence and singing a song about forcing students to obedience and threatening to beat a disobedient students.
• Memetic Molester: Pan Kleks is potrayed sometimes as pedophile because of running an Academy full of young boys to which is disturbingly fond.
• Memetic Mutation: Adaś is a complete loser with no real skills thanks to the outlandish lessons received in the Academy.
• Nightmare Fuel: Ask Poles below 50 what terrified them as kids and they are likely to bring up The March of the Wolves scene from the 80s adaptation. Until…
  • Nightmare Retardant: While wolfs from the distance are terrific, after they are shown closer it’s more clear that they are just people in wolf suits, which makes them less scary.
• Special Effects Failure: The crocodile from the movie adaptation of Travels is clearly a puppet.
• Values Resonance: The books are effectively about being humane towards children and treating them like fellow human beings, rather than half-wild animals that have to be tamed, preferably with a leather belt or a pointer stick. And Academy in particular is against the concept of institutionalised mistreatment within the walls of boarding schools.
