    General
  • Fandom VIP: Mark's comics are very well known among the various fanbases he is in, to the extent that people who know him can tell that it is his work at a glance on Reddit. The comics themselves are very famous for delivering strong characterisation along with whichever emotion is needed in his Cerebus Rollercoaster on a daily basis. To give you an idea of how beloved his works are, in the subreddits of Star vs. the Forces of Evil and ESPECIALLY The Owl House, the top 100 posts are dominated by his comics and even has their own flair with his name on it while the latter's subreddit has an average of seven to nine thousand upvotes per post.
  • Heartwarming Moments: This post back in 2015, where a Tumblr user messaged Mark to genuinely thank him for all of his comics being lighthearted and fun, and that for once he isn't being thrown "tragedy and pain".
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Along with Harsher in Hindsight, Mark is well known for predicting twists in the series he parodies, very often unintentionally.
  • Memetic Mutation: "Canon unless proven otherwise" Explanation

    Gravity Falls
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • One comic displayed Bill in Dipper's body riding off a cliff in a grocery cart for a stunt, to Dipper's horror. In Gravity Falls: Journal 3, its revealed that Bill intended to perform a Psychic-Assisted Suicide with Dipper's body by jumping off the watertower, leaving him trapped in the mindscape, even planning to kill Mabel as well.
    • Another one of MoringMark's comics features Dipper about to go paragliding, only to see his future self with a crutch, a broken leg, and a time tape, prompting present Dipper to say Touché. Years later, it would be revealed that a similar, but much darker premise was considered for a Gravity Falls episode, where a future Dipper, on the verge of death, would warn present Dipper about an event in the future that would result in Mabel's death.
    • MoringMark depicted a confrontation between Time Baby and Bill Cipher as being one-sided in Time Baby's favor. Come Weirdmaggeddon, it ended up being the other way around.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Doubles as Heartwarming in Hindsight MoringMark's version of Ford looking through Dipper's notes has him initially impressed only to become unimpressed by Dipper's writings. Ford statements in "Dipper And Mabel vs. the Future" reveal that he is actually impressed with Dipper's notations. Adding on to this, Ford's notes in the real life Gravity Falls: Journal 3 has Ford write that he is initially disgusted that Dipper even wrote in the journal in the first place, only to read through the added notes and become impressed with the notes Dipper added.
    • One of Mark's predictions for Tad Strange, though proven to be false, was that he would be a jumble of multicolored shapes. While like numerous other predictions about Tad Strange, this would be proven false, it does resemble one of Bill's minions, named Amorphous Shape.
    • This comic managed to predict Ford's opinion on the "Man-Spider" creature.
    • 5 months before the finale landed, Mark drew a scene depicting Bill Cipher making a deal with Stan, only to have been conned by Gravity Falls' greatest conman. During the climax this is part of how Bill is actually defeated. Doubles as Awesome and Harsher in Hindsight considering that it also marks Stanley's Heroic Sacrifice.

Star vs. the Forces of Evil
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • One his Star Vs. comics made during the airing of Season 2 of the show has Ludo return to Earth early only to find Marco with a baby brother, and mistakes it for Marco and Star's child, Season 3 would have Marco become an older brother, albeit to a sister, and also is mistaken to have fathered her with Star in an episode.
    • Doubles as Heartwarming in Hindsight, a Star vs. comic shows King and Queen Spiderbite disapproving of their daughter's relationship with Slime, only warming up to him after he saves her life. Come "Surviving the Spiderbites" and it turns out that they not only don't have a problem with him dating their daughter at all, but are actually fond of him.
