YMMV / Migos

  • Ending Fatigue: Their double album Culture II received mixed reviews for being overlong.
  • Fandom Rivalry:
    • From Three 6 Mafia fans, as Lord Infamous's signature triplet flow has recently been nicknamed "the Migos Flow," in spite of having been a staple of Memphis rap for decades.
    • With Bone Thugs-n-Harmony fans, and by extension Spice 1 fans who joined in on it by taking the side of Bone because Spice-1 did.
  • Friendly Fandoms:
    • With Gucci Mane, as they collaborate quite a bit.
    • With Travis Scott, helped by Quavo’s friendship with him.
  • Growing the Beard: Culture was a leap in quality and artistic ambition from their previous work. This was also the point where music critics and older hip hop fans began to respect Migos as a group to be taken seriously.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • In one of his last TV appearances before his death, the audience of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon cheered Takeoff after he finished delivering his verse on "Nothing Changed."
    • After a year-long public feud, Quavo and Offset reunited at the BET Awards in a tribute to Takeoff.
  • Memetic Mutation: "Rain Drop, Drop Top".
  • Pop-Culture Isolation: Many music critics and longtime Migos fans view Takeoff as the best rapper out of the trio, but due to his relatively low profile, casual listeners tend to underestimate Takeoff as a rapper.
  • Signature Song: "Versace" was their breakthrough single, while "Bad and Boujee" made the group a household name.
