YMMV / Ivory

Go To

  • Evil Is Cool: Ivory is beloved for being quite the badass Dark Action Girl.
  • Fashion-Victim Villain: In the Right to Censor but that was most definitely invoked.
  • Growing the Beard: It wasn't until her time in Right to Censor that Ivory really hit her stride as the monster heel of the women's division. With more time for promos, actual feuds and more matches, it helped make her a memorable part of the Attitude Era.
  • Heartwarming Moments: Ivory saving Trish Stratus from an attack at Victoria's hands. This was just after Trish had retained her title, Ivory had shaken her hand in respect and it looked very much like a veteran star from the Attitude Era giving her blessing to a new one. Made even more heartwarming when Ivory started getting wins over Jazz. Two of them were in matches where Trish was her partner. Rather than resenting that Ivory was beating her rival, she was happy for her and supported her entirely.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight
    • She and Ashley Cartier in GLOW were meant to be a pun on T&A (Tina and Ashley). Numerous times in WWF, Ivory would protest against T&A in the women's division.
    • The year is 2000, the new Millennium hasn't destroyed civilization, non-wrestler Stephanie McMahon is Women's Champion and Ivory is just trying to get a three minute match. The year is 2015 and Vince McMahon is responding on Twitter to fans posting "give Divas a chance" in protest of them not getting so much as a three minute match. At least the belt is held by a wrestler in the future, but don't let anyone tell you progress isn't slow on the national wrestling scene.
  • Love to Hate: Her time in the Right to Censor. It was probably the most effective she ever was as a top heel in the women's division. And although her Alpha Bitch persona wasn't developed much, fans still love that part of her too.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: In 2003 Ivory made a Heel–Face Turn for the first proper time in her WWE run (she had been a face as Tina Ferrari in GLOW) and picked up three wins over Jazz. They were clearly building towards a program between them for the Women's Championship. The two had never really wrestled before, due to both being heels, and it would have allowed someone other than Trish Stratus to take the top face spot for a while. Then suddenly Jazz gets injured, Gail Kim is awarded the title in her debut, buried five weeks later in favour of Molly Holly - and Ivory gets Demoted to Extra. In her shoot interview, she expressed disappointment that it didn't play out.
"That could have been my 'last run' as a good guy..."
