YMMV / Game Of Dogs

Go To

  • Complete Monster: Satchel is an ultra-aggressive Dachshund with murderous and bloodthirsty intentions. Being the lackey of Randell, he has participated in multiple killings in the past, and has zero remorse about it. Right after raiding the house and set it to fire, he get along with his companies sharing the laughs of the kills with content, and openly boasts about his sociopathic intents. He then put his opponents into fights with intentions to murder them in cold blood, and eventually crashed into a casino attempting to wipe out the players there, killed one Greyhound and also ate his corpse. Satchel also has eaten the imprisoned animals in a prison complex, then also murdered one of his co-lackeys by throwing him into a grinding machine, all with his laughter and no remorse for his crimes. And during the Battle Royale event, he attempts to rack his kill counts through his murderous thirst, trying to eat more of the defeated victims' corpses while endlessly pursuing others. Throughout the story, he even has murdered more animals than everyone else, including killing his other opponent dogs For the Evulz. Even in a world run by the evil dogs, this Dachshund deserves to be the most-bloodthirsty of all evil dogs.
  • Diagnosed by the Audience: James happens to have the memetic "Cocker Spaniel Rage" disorder, and he exhibits some of these, yet is never explicitly mentioned.
  • Do Not Do This Cool Thing: Even if turning all fictional dogs in the story into Always Chaotic Evil species is cool, the writer does not encourage any form of abuse or outright murder of dogs, let alone literal dogfighting. And the Battle Royale arc shows how grisly about bringing dogs into such an event.
  • Evil Is Cool: The use of non-stereotypical dogs as villainous dogs can come off as this to some, especially readers who are tired of seeing various dog stereotypes in media.
  • Genius Bonus: Diligent readers who read the history will probably figure the ideological motives of some dogs; Randell is basically Winston Churchill with the tendencies of Jack the Ripper, while Rudolph is outright Adolf Hitler.
  • The Woobie: Non-dog animals, but especially kittens. Their departed souls may never have their own resting places because of dogs.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: While being based on a Battle Royale story with dogs sound promising, the fact all the dogs in the story are Always Chaotic Evil species (several Serial Killers, two literal Nazi dogs, evil spy dogs, and other scumbags) may drive several dog-loving readers away, especially those from the West.
