- Awesome Music: The art may be as Stylistic Suck as it gets (at least at first), but its music is definitively the opposite.
- "Talentless Fox" is both incredibly catchy and strangely emotional, giving a great introduction to the mod.
- "No Villains" is fast-paced and takes cues from the best parts of the regular series' music, complete with a Leitmotif of "His World".
- Breather Level: "High Shovel" is a short and slower paced song sandwiched in between the more averagely difficult "Die Batsards" and the Nintendo Hard "Taste For Blood". This is only the case for V3, as in V4 "High Shovel" is moved to the Side Stories, meaning that in the story mode the player goes straight from "Die Batsards" to "Taste for Blood".
- Harsher in Hindsight: In V3.5, Sonic.exe was portrayed as a child molester, with his song even being called "You Can't Consent". This became less funny with Hooda's actions, which also resulted in the song being removed in V4.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: After the release of the mod, Boyfriend eventually made a cameo appearance in the original webcomic. Though unlike here, he's not with Girlfriend and his design is more in line with his original appearance, with the exception of the symbol on his shirt, which is more or less the same as it appears here.
- Nightmare Fuel: Sonic's third idle animation◊ demonstrates rather unsettling-looking usage of The Unsmile, complete with Twitchy Eye. Thank god it can't be seen in gameplay due to the speed of his singing.
- Strawman Has a Point: Straight from the webcomic itself. While Sonic is right to say that Shadow shouldn't be a Jerkass back to Boyfriend and Girlfriend, Shadow is also right in saying that trying to reason with them isn't going to be effective either. The best advice would've been to just ignore them.
