  • Awesome Bosses: Cites Lezard from Valkyrie Profile and Gwyn from the first Dark Souls as two of his favorite bosses ever.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Gough is one of his favorite characters from Dark Souls 1.
  • Fake Difficulty: Discussed. He posits that simply offering an easy, normal, and hard mode, and simply upping the numbers on hp and damage is a lazy and uninteresting way of raising difficulty (which is also the reason why he doesn't like the Calamity Ring from Dark Souls 1). He also feels that increased difficulty should also entail increased rewards for players, like better item drops, more money, etc.
  • Fandom VIP: He is one of the most (if not THE most) well-known members of the Souls community, largely due to him one of the first people to show off content from the Japanese release of Dark Souls.
  • Self-Imposed Challenge:
    • He is well-known for being a hardcore gamer and frequently taking these up, including multiple Dark Souls challenges, a blind playthrough of Cave Story on Hard mode, a playthrough of Kingdoms Of Amalur on Hard with no potions, a playthrough of the Final Fantasy Tactics 1.3 patch/mod (itself a very difficult hack of the original game), etc.
    • The "Princess CX" challenge, a result of the tiara stream. Based on the Japanese TV show GameCenter CX, he attempts to beat a game within a certain time limit.
  • The Scrappy: He cites his dislike of Tidus as the main reason he didn't enjoy Final Fantasy X.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: Over the years he's mentioned a couple:
    • He dislikes having to put points into luck stats to increase drop rates. He says that he finds it much more interesting and fun to have to beat tough enemies or take on some other kind of challenge to get drops.
    • Thinks that being forced to take damage, from falls or otherwise, shouldn't be a thing, and cites this as one of the main reasons why he dislikes the design of Old Iron Keep from Dark Souls 2, as it requires the player to take a lot of damage from lava to get to certain items, meaning the character will either die or will need extremely high fire resistance to stay alive.
  • So Okay, It's Average: His overall opinion on Kingdomsof Amalur. He states that the game is fun, but is far too easy, even on the highest difficulty with a Self-Imposed Challenge, and that the art direction and story are uninspired, to the point where he couldn't recommend that people interested in it buy it at full price.
