• He Really Can Act: This is the first film or acting project Dylan Sprouse has done since Suite Life, and with the exception of the film "Uncle Kent", Kent Osborne is most well-known as one of the writers, storyboard artists and voice actors for Adventure Time and Regular Show. The majority of reviews in particular praise both their acting above all else.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: A meta example, but Dylan Sprouse's claim to fame is as Brilliant, but Lazy Kidanova Zack Martin from Disney's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. His twin brother Cole plays the Adorkable Bookworm Cody, making his role as Lucas essentially the villainous Expy of Cody Martin taken up to eleven. Cole plays a Darker and Edgier version of Jughead in Riverdale—some of the traits his character has in the show aligning more closely with Zack in Suite Life. While they both went for darker, grittier roles upon returning to acting, the first projects they both undertook were in a way the darker versions of the characters that made each other famous.
• Moral Event Horizon: Lucas crosses the hell out of it when he tricks Rebecca into writing her own suicide note and then throws her off a building, and it all goes downhill from there.
• Narm: What does Lucas do when David shows up during the climax to rescue his infant son? Start screaming lines from Iago's soliloquy in Othello on the top of his lungs while holding a pen over the baby as a weapon.
  "AND IAGO SAYS, " AND WHAT'S HE THEN THAT SAYS I SHOULD PLAY THE VILLAIN?"!" *wildly brandishes a pen*
