The Slideshow Commentary Community is a community of people who make Slideshow Commentaries. Within the community, creators make videos addressing other people and riffing on their content. It is relatively popular with a few of its members having five-digit sub-counts. Various events happen in the CC.

- Action Duo: Co-op commentaries essentially boil down this.
- A Darker Me: Many commentators have alter ego's that range from being snarkier to just downright evil.
- Death Is Cheap: Commentators dying and being resurrected is a frequent trend.
- In-Character Commentaries: Commentators sometimes do commentaries on their past videos.
- My Future Self and Me: Multiple commentators have made videos where they co-oped with themselves from the past. Alternatively, co-oping with "Post-Point" selves, versions of the commentator from after the initial script is completed, is also prevalent.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: When dealing with particularly egregious targets, commentators can sometimes get blunt and harsh with the behavior of the people they are commentating on, leading to one of these. Often happens in the final thoughts of the video when done.
- Shared Universe: Elements from different commentary channels and lores show up in multiple channels, especially group channels.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Avatars dying and going to heaven (dubbed “Kill Land” by most commentators) is a common running gag.
- World of Snark: Even the nicer commentators have a pretty sharp tongue.
