Pagefire is a YouTube channel started by three people: Andri, Molly, and Martin. Andri makes guides to music genres, Molly makes book and film reviews and Martin (eventually) makes game reviews. The channel is well known for the genre guides, having information of the genre and how to make a song of that genre.

As of November 5, 2020, Molly is no longer a part of Pagefire, although they continue making content in a separate YouTube channel called Discrot, where they're also uploading some of the videos they made for Pagefire. The Pagefire crew and them still make occasional appearances on each other's videos, though.

Currently, the Pagefire crew consists of Andri, Martin (now called OG-Martin to differentiate him from the other Martins), Metal-Martin, UK-Martin and Anne-Line.

Tropes:

  • April Fools' Day: For April Fools 2020, Andri made a "How To" for a fake genre called "Backpedal", which is just Black Metal songs but backwards.
  • Butt-Monkey: Molly used to be until their departure. Now it's mostly Andri.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Andri. Molly had their moments too.
  • Genre Roulette: Andri's "How To Make" series has a lot of guides on these genres including: Grindcore, Norwegian Black Metal, Goregrind, Noisecore, Folk Punk, Pornogrind, Cybergrind, Harsh Noise Wall, Wizard Rock, Gorenoise, Unblack Metal, Nintendocore, Nu Metal and Murderfolk.
  • Metal Scream: Happens a lot in the songs.
  • One-Steve Limit: Andri sure does have a lot of friends named Martin.
    • In a Q&A video, Andri referenced this fact and mentioned this trope by name [1].
  • Power Trio: Andri, Molly and OG-Martin.
  • Self-Deprecation: Molly's departure video gave us this funny, yet sad, callback to their Submariners series of sketches:
Andri: Sir? The quality is sinking.
Molly: It does that when I leave.
    Andri: Aaw.
  • Take That!: Andri says that the Wikipedia quote for Harsh Noise Wall ("a literal consistent, unflinching and enveloping wall of monolithic noise.") is like the YouTube trending section.
