Hoot is a YouTube channel that focuses on Source Film Maker animations. Started in 2015 for old game clips, music covers, Rainbow Six Siege content, and other short videos, the channel shifted to its current scope in 2020 with short animated clips with Hoot providing his voice to his characters.

Hoot's videos tend to make fun of ongoing video game tropes and other shenanigans with his range of voice acting, though he still occasionally post gameplay or music covers.

His channel can be found here.

Hoot's videos include instances of:

  • Acoustic License: Lampshaded in "May I suggest you STACC armor?", where David throw insults at some helicopter operators while in the midst of a flying helicopter.
Operator 1: Hey how can we even hear him up here? He's like down there-
Operator 2: [Hand motions Operator 1 to drop the issue]
    Operator 1: Okay.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: In "Player learns how damage in game works", Hoot tries using heavy ammo on a Heavy Combine, but it keeps shrugging off headshots. He's down to a tiny Derringer as his last shot when his radio contact says the legs are the weak point. Hoot takes one shot and the Heavy drops dead, confusing him.
  • Baritone of Strength: Hoot has a rather deep voice and often lends it to adventurers, soldiers, and special force operators in his animated skits.
  • BFG: Utilized for humor in several of his videos, like in "Can I get uhhhh- one medium size suppressor" with an artillery cannon, "Give me B I G L A U N C H E R" with a giant M203 grenade launcher, "He discovered a VIDEO IDEA" with four minions strapped together, and "When you get the BIG BLASTER" with a giant blaster gun.
  • Bullet Time: Parodied in "This is what slow motion would actually be like in games", when Jackson and Richard breach into the room like a Modern Warfare game, only for Jackson to express confusion on why everything is in slow-motion.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Invoked by Hoot, who has a rather deep voice and showcases some behind the scenes editing in "When you need to become a monster in 5 minutes" to demonstrate how it can be turned into a demonic voice.
  • Improvised Lockpick: In his video parodying Lock Picking Lawyer escaping a Saw trap, he uses a paper clip to make a lockpick to escape his predicament.
  • Read the Freaking Manual: Lampshaded in "They asked for a funny fire selector. Here's the results", where the operator states he should have consulted the manual before figuring out what each "funny" fire selector option actually does.
  • Worst Aid: Parodied in "When your teammate requires HEALING in a game", where teammates help an injured 1-4 by injecting him with morphine until his "health" goes up, but then 1-4 goes through a morphine overdose from the rapid injections.
