Web Animation / Cookie Run Kingdom Last Cookie Standing

Go To

Cookie Run Kingdom: Last Cookie Standing is a "reality show" based on the popular Cookie Run: Kingdom made by Devsisters. The show itself is a parody of the popular hit series, Survivor, with similar trials and the elimination round by voting. 12 cookies from across Earthbread are forced to live together in a Tropical Soda Island for 21 days, with the victor taking home 1,000,000 Crystals.

Tropes featured on this page:

• Adaptational Personality Change: Many of the Cookies' personalities are exaggerated and/or incongruous to their appearances in the mobile game. Notably, Milky Way Cookie is far more smug and uses a lot of internet lingo, while Espresso Cookie has far more of a temper.
• Age Lift: While the game treats Milky Way Cookie as an Adorably Precocious Child, the series treats her like a really young looking adult. She mentions the idea of retiring and making a “Thirty Under Thirty" list, and while Strawberry Crepe Cookie is disqualified for lying about being a child, Milky Way Cookie notably isn’t.
• Armor-Piercing Response: In the first half of Episode 8, Affogato points out that he and Caramel Arrow would benefit from the one million crystal grand prize to send to the Dark Cacao Kingdom since it's one that actually has more importance than one filled with Guests.Explanation
• Blind Without 'Em: Espresso Cookie is unable to see without his glasses, something Affogato Cookie uses to his advantage in Episode 6.
• Breaking the Fourth Wall: Episode 6 starts with the creators of Last Cookie Standing learning that they just lost their sponsor thanks to Black Pearl Cookie sinking the ships from Touc's Trading Harbor. This means they have to get creative with presenting the show, which mostly involves stick figures and sticky notes before they can get another sponsor.
• Chekhov's Gun: Caramel Arrow is shown to be afraid of Jelly Bees. Affogato uses this to his advantage in Episode 8 making her freak out and eliminate herself when he tells her there's one such bee on her shoulder.
• Chekhov's Gunman: In Episode 6, Black Pearl Cookie is mentioned sinking the ships from Touc's Trading Harbor. She appears two episodes later when her storms are causing an obstacle in the first half of Episode 8.
• Companion Cube: Licorice Cookie befriends a rock on the island, named "Rocky", who he frequently has conversations with like it’s a living Cookie. The others find the whole thing bizarre, and their attitude towards it leads to him being up for elimination twice (with the first one being a close call thanks to an immunity necklace he found).
• Dungeon Bypass: In Episode 7, Caramel Arrow, Affogato, and Cream Unicorn have unique ways of passing through the labyrinth. Caramel Arrow hops to the top of the hedges to get a better view, Affogato burns the hedges with poison, and Cream Unicorn turns into a unicorn to zoom above the maze.
• Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Affogato is pretty much sickened by Cream Unicorn's talk of friendship.
• Fatal Flaw: Affogato Cookie’s selfishness and power-hungry tendencies come back to bite him in the finale when not even the other competing Cookies of Darkness vote for him to take the win, citing how he basically abandoned them and didn’t even offer to work with them despite supposedly being on their side because he was so focused on his own goals.
• Hidden Depths: Cream Unicorn Cookie is the only cookie who knows who the creator of the Last Cookie Standing series is — Vi Cookie — because they thoroughly read the contract.
• Medium-Shift Gag:
• In the first episode, the challenge is portrayed as a Pokémon battle.
• When Red Velvet expresses worry over what's going on with Chiffon, it cuts to someone dressed as Poison Mushroom Cookie playing with a stuffed Cake Hound Plushie.
• The first half of Episode 6 has the characters played out as stick figure puppets due to the show losing its initial sponsor.
• No Listening Skills: Madeline Cookie has no ability to listen to others, which leads to his elimination in Episode 4 when he refuses to get help from his team in the quiz round.
• Non-Gameplay Elimination: At least one-fourth of the cookies have been eliminated this way.
• Red Velvet Cookie: Left after learning how Poison Mushroom caused Chiffon to be sick.
• Strawberry Crepe Cookie: Lied about their age and was disqualified as a result.
• Milky Way Cookie: Was dragged back to work after her superior found out she had snuck off without permission.
• Parody Commercial: Each episode has a commercial advertising certain gameplay elements from Cookie Run Kingdom. In Episode 6, the fact that the creators of the show lost their product placement means that they can't animate the show properly...until they get a new product placement in Sorbet Shark Cookie's audio book.
• Scary Shiny Glasses: Espresso Cookie has these in Episode 3 after using his Grinding ability to eliminate Cream Unicorn Cookie and Milky Way Cookie out of the arena.
• Shout-Out: The series is full of them.
• As mentioned above, the duels in the first challenge are styled like a Pokémon battle.
• When turning into their unicorn form, there’s a shot of Cream Unicorn Cookie drawn similarly to Nyan Cat.
• Unexpectedly Obscure Answer: In the Quiz challenge, one of the questions asked is who is the creator of Last Cookie Standing. Cream Unicorn is the only one who knows the answer because they thoroughly read through the contract.

Just get through the maze by "any means necessary"...

Three of the contestants take the rule a little too seriously...
