WMG / Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure

Go To

If Kiramager is a precure show and Kamen Rider Saber is a sentai show, then Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure will be a rider show.
With this in effect, the loop will be complete.
  • Jossed.

The 6th ranger cure is themed around pirates
While the main cures are themed around tropical stuff. The 6th ranger cure could be based on pirates (who, like mermaids, also roam the ocean).
  • Jossed.

Aozora City is based on a coastal town in Australia

Manatsu's ancestor is a pirate

The Witch is an evil counterpart of Laura

The Witch is a traitor of Grand Ocean

Laura will be the next cure.
The not-cure in the first-reveal poster will ascend into one.
  • Confirmed. She's to be Cure La Mer

The next cure will not have a specific charm point.
Instead, she is well-rounded.
  • Jossed. Her cute charm point is her nails.

If there is a mid-season Cure, her charm point will be her dress.
In Healin Good's last preview for Tropical Rouge, after the four initial Cures list off their charm points (cheeks, eyes, hair, and lips), they all say dress at the end.
  • Jossed. Her cute charm point is to be her nails.

A yet-to-be introduced character will have a Little Mermaid motif.
Mermaids are a major part of this season's lore, after all. Additionally, since Minori's bio makes it a point to say that "The Little Mermaid" is her favorite fairytale, it's possible that said character will be her Love Interest, with Minori playing the part of a gender-flipped prince.

Asuka and Yuriko were former tennis players
Asuka and Yuriko have some kind of history that has left them cold to each other, Asuka stares forlonely at the tennis courts, and Flamingo's attack has her use a flamingo's foot like a tennis racket. It's possible that Asuka and Yuriko were part of the school's tennis team, maybe even a doubles pair, before Asuka missed an important serve or hit that led to the two of them becoming distant.

  • Confirmed as it's revealed they were both members of the Tennis Club and also partners.

Laura will eventually abandon wanting to be queen
Seeing how vain and determined Laura is about being queen, clearly she will go through Character Development as much as the Cures will. She could become more of a friend to the girls and maybe she'll begin to question why she wants to be queen in the first place, and she doesn't ''really'' want to be queen at all. During this half of the season Laura will then stop wanting to be queen and throw that dream away for a new better dream!

The precures' Achilles' Heel are enemies who are turned off by their charm points.
For example, the colors of Cure Papaya's eyelashes as well as Cure La Mer's nails are found to be too distracting. Based on those turn-offs, the enemy will No-Sell the attacks of the respective precure.

The Forest Mermaid from the past was the Mermaid Queen.
When you look at the flashback, the mermaid's tail and hair are very close to the Mermaid Queen's hair and tail colors. So it is indeed possible that mermaid was the Queen when she was younger.

  • Confirmed.

Elda, Chongire, and Numeri can be redeemed.
Unlike the pure evil Byogens of last season, this season's Terrible Trio do seem to have redeeming qualities. Eda somewhat appreciated the things Manatsu brought to her in episode 19. They all do seem to care about each other AND they also loved the beautiful meteor shower in episode 26. Elda, Chongire, and Numeri seem to not really be as evil as the Witch of Delays or Butler, but rather they simply need to be taught what it feels like to have motivation. The Precure can no doubt show them how to feels to actually do something with motivation, to which they will feel fantastic about it and decide to defect from the Witch and become allies of the cures (much to the rage of Butler, who is clearly Beyond Redemption).
  • Episode 43 shows that the three are going in that direction. Chongire felt like Butler was going too far with the Fool's Casket and renounced his loyalty, which got Butler to turn Chongire into a Yaraneeda against his will. Elda's and Numeri's horrified reactions also show that they feel the same way too.
  • Confirmed in Episode 45, where they fully redeem.

Tropical Rouge will be darker later
  • Practically Confirmed now with the Chou Zettai Yaraneeda. Butler being a Knight of Cerebus helps too.

Finale theories
  • If there is a Distant Finale, we will see Laura as queen, abolishing the law that requires mermaids to have their memories erased after encountering humans, which will most likely lead to a touching reunion between her and the older Manatsu.
    • Alternatively, Laura will decide to become human permanently (which might facilitate with future crossover/All-Stars films).
    • Or the current Queen may decide to abolish the law herself, resulting in merfolk being integrated into human society, in a manner reminiscent of the finale to Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger.
  • The Tropical Club will continue to exist even after the Cures have graduated, with new members coming and going over the years. If the Distant Finale happens, we will see the Cures visiting their old school and catching up with the current members of the Tropical Club. Bonus points if the penguin statue seen in earlier episodes comes back.
  • It will be implied, in some capacity, that Asuka and Yuriko have mended their relationship, or even gotten together romantically (akin to Henri and Masato at the end of Hugtto).
  • After pulling their definite-to-come Heel-Face Turns, Chongire, Numeri, and Elda, will move to the Grand Ocean, there they will be living happy lives and doing their work with motivation (which the cures will teach them how it feels to have such a thing).
  • And, because it’s obvious at this point, Cure Precious will show up to help the Cures in a post final battle.
    • Looks like we were wrong. Precious does not show up, with Yui just reduced to a cameo.

The Legendary Pretty Cure (Cure Palm?) will be featured in the final battle in some capacity.
If possible, she will pull a Cure Flower and (somehow) come back in physical form to offer the Cures some assistance.
  • Confirmed. She’s part of their finishing attack against Butler.
