Other Series/Franchises That Could Join The Shin Japan Heroes Universe

  • Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, one of the things uniting these projects is the involvement of Hideaki Anno and Neon Genesis Evangelion was originally conceived as a stealth sequel to Nadia. Perhaps some of Hideki's original vision could be restored.
  • Pokémon, Toho had previously outsourced sound effects for the Animated Pokemon Movies and distributed them for a time in Japan. The good will The Pokemon Company has with Toho could be grounds for an unexpected entry into this burgeoning universe.
  • Gamera, Kaiju fans have been wanting a Gamera vs Godzilla showdown for the longest time, and a film like that could serve as a Deconstruction of films where massive Kaiju fight each other. A solo Shin Gamera film could also be an interesting endeavor by itself.
    • This may or may not be Jossed, considering Gamera's now getting his own anime related project.
  • GARO, an already darker take on the Toku genre, Garo would fit right in. A new project could be right in line with the tone the Shin Universe looks to take
  • Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Studio TRIGGER is one of the successor studios of Studio Gainax along with the already involved Studio Khara. Khara and Trigger could come to some sort of deal to include Lagann in The Shinverse.
  • BNA: Brand New Animal, Another Studio TRIGGER project, BNA could have the easiest time fitting into the Shin-verse, due to the ability to have it's premise broken down.
  • Super Sentai, This depends on how much of a connection Anno has to Sentai, but if he decides to include it, it would likely be a re-imagining of Himitsu Sentai Gorenger.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, as Hideaki Anno worked as an animator and wants to make either a sequel or reboot (animated for the former, either animation or live action for the latter). If Anno decides to go with the reboot route, he could set it in in the Shin Japan Heroes Universe.
