Super Mario: All Star Attack is a Mario fan game project that was started in 2009 by a user named Camtendo under the name of "Super Mario World: All-Star Edition".
Bowser has stolen the all-powerful All-Star from Star Haven, and Wanda, one of the sprixies, has came down from her home to warn the Mario Bros. that the entire Mushroom World is in grave danger, and it is up to them to thwart Bowser's plans before the land is warped by his jurisdiction! Play as the Mario Bros, Princess Peach, Toad and unlikely ally Wario through several stages and worlds of Koopa madness! Alongside a very special guest...

Super Mario: All Star Attack contains examples of:
- All Your Base Are Belong to Us: The game begins with Bowser Jr. attacking the Mario Bros. directly in their home.
- Big Bad: Bowser is back and at it again, stealing the mighty All-Star to take over the world.
- Competitive Balance: All five initial characters have their own unique skills and abilities, as well as their own unique power ups.
- Mario: True to form, is the Jack of All Stats character with no glaring strengths or weaknesses and can perform the spin jump.
- Luigi: He's a solid jumper but very slippery with the ability to Scuttle.
- Peach: Low power but has the best jumping ability of the five with the added ability to do her floating jump.
- Toad: Very strong and speedy character but poor jumping.
- Wario: Powerful Mighty Glacier who is the strongest but moves slowly. He can attack enemies with his shoulder barge.
- Sonic: The fastest character of them all and and has the ability attack enemies from all angles with his jump., but doesn't use Power ups like the others, Instead relying on Coins/Rings as health.
- Fairy Companion: Wanda joins the heroes on the adventure as their guide and offers tips.
- Green Hill Zone: All of World 1, as you may expect, but there are several more grassland stages throughout the game.
- Hearts Are Health: The Heart power up gives the playable characters a temporary Life Meter ala Super Mario Bros. 2. Then there is the special Heart Radish that gives you ten hearts if you can find it.
- An Ice Person: The Ice Flower returns as a power up, with the ability to freeze enemies into blocks and kick them around while frozen.
- Mutually Exclusive Power Ups: All of the characters have their own unique power ups. For instance, Princess Peach doesn't use a Mushroom to get her Super Form, but rather a literal Peach, and uses a Parasol as an equivalent to the Raccoon Power.
- Secret Character: Sonic the Hedgehog is a playable character, and you can unlock him by completing Verdant Vista in World 9.
- Sixth Ranger: Sonic joins the adventure if you complete a certain level in World 9.
