Michael RPG is a free RPG Maker game available on GameJolt for the low price of nothing.

It follows the adventures of a group of Poké-people (Pokémon with the ability to think, speak and otherwise live like humans), as they travel around Scart Island, the largest landmass in the North Unspacific ocean. Along the way, they encounter such wondrous creatures such as squid-lemon hybrids and... selfie-taking crabs... wait...

This sounds QUIRKY!

And that's the other important thing to know about Scart Island and it's inhabitants; They're all strange and unusual in a variety of ways (The talking Pokémon are the most normal thing, for reference.) It's up to Michael and his pals to travel through this world of weirdness and find the Universpheres, the ancient treasures of the elements, before they fall into the hands of Dark Michael and his minions!

This game provides examples of:

  • Adorable Evil Minions: Dark Michael's underlings, the Dark Chespin. Even when they're armed with spears or arm cannons!
  • Affably Evil: The Darks come across as this most of the time. After the final battle, the dialogue between the heroes and villains reveal that these grand adventures are pretty much just a game to both sides.
  • Brave Scot: Treacle, the fourth and final Partner character has a stereotypical Scottish accent. He also has an eyepatch and uses bombs as weapons.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Land: The ENTIRE North Unspacific is populaated by bizarre creatures and sometimes strange environments (such as the one part of the sea that anyone can just walk right into) and yet everyone except Steven and Lewis (and their entire races) seems to think it's perfectly reasonable
  • Deadpan Snarker: Steven (along with his entire species) is this. Not that anyone listens...
  • Super Not-Drowning Skills: Anyone can breathe in Sushi Sea. Even a robot can stay down there with no issue. Justified since the water is supposedly oxygenated
  • The Smart Guy: Lewis is this for the heroes, and spends half the game giving the others information on the Universpheres before joining them after an impostor tried to trick them
