• The Danza: Gregory Smith as Greg.
• Dawson Casting: Mostly averted with the cast, though Gregory Smith was High School aged playing a middle schooler. Kirsten Storms was on the edge but Lauren Maltby and Raven and Shadia Simmons in the Zequel were the right age.
  • Though by the third movie Kirsten Storms was 20 the year it was released playing 18.
• Development Hell: The films were originally planned as a Television pilot, though as of 2016 Disney was still considering turning it into one.
• Franchise Killer: Given the poor fan reaction to Z3 even in its day, and the fact that no more Zenon films popped up, it's safe to assume we won't be seeing any more of this franchise anytime soon.
• The Other Darrin: Raven-Symoné originally played Zenon's best friend Nebula, then Shadia Simmons played her in The Zequel...then Raven again played her in Z3 (though only for a cameo; Nebula's cousin Cassie filled her role).
  • Protozoa, played by Phillip Rhys in the first movie, gets replaced in Z3 by Nathan Anderson.
  • Zenon's parents get replaced in the Zequel and don't even show up in Z3.
• Prop Recycling: The station staff wore EarthForce uniforms from Babylon 5.
• What Could Have Been: The first movie was filmed as a pilot for a possible full-length series.
