• Deleted Role: Xander Cage originally had a fairly lengthy conversation with a young boy while on his flight to Prague, in which the two discussed his mission under the guise of it being a video game. As it was felt Cage entertaining the kid would mark him as unequivocally good too early in the film, the scene was almost completely cut, eliminating the child actor's part in the film in the process.
• Fake Nationality: Czech agent Milan Sova is played by the German-born Richy Müller.
• Fake Russian: All named members of Anarchy 99, who are shown to be Russian.
  • Asia Argento (Yelena) is Italian.
  • Marton Csokas (Yorgi) is a New Zealander.
  • Werner Daehn (Kirill) is German.
  • Kolya and Victor, Yorgi's henchmen and former Soviet/Russian officers are respectively played by Czech actors Petr Jákl and Jan Pavel Filipensky.
• Fatal Method Acting: Stuntman Harry O'Connor was killed when he crashed into the side of Palacky Bridge instead of going under it. The footage, up to the point where he disappears behind one of the bridge columns, was used in the final film. Rob Cohen points it out in the commentary.
• Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor:
  • Asia Argento reprised her role as Yelena in the Italian dub, as she usually does with her original English-language roles.
  • Werner Daehn and Richy Müller reprised their roles as Kirill and Sova, respectively, in the German dub.
• No Stunt Double: Vin Diesel performed many of his own stunts. However, according to the DVD Commentary, Vin was sick for the Corvette base jump, and pro Tim Rigby performed the stunt wearing a Vin mask.
• Production Posse: Director Rob Cohen is joined by his frequent music composer Randy Edelman.
• Throw It In!: A rather dark version. Diesel's stunt double died near the ending, filming the scene where Cage parachutes onto the sub. The stuntman landed perfectly during the first take; unfortunately, during the second take, he hit the bridge, fell unconscious into the river, and died of the brain trauma caused by the impact before he could drown or freeze to death. Footage of the fatal take made it into the final film.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Eric Bana was the first choice to play Xander Cage but turned it down to do The Nugget.
  • Ewan McGregor was reportedly offered the role of Yorgi.
