• Triple-X tattoos are commonly worn by Straight Edge punks. Did the producers not realize this? Vin Diesel wasn't supposed to be straight edge, was he?
  • He does chew out the sniper guy for smoking all the time, and in the party scene before the NSA kidnaps him he's drinking a Sobe instead of an alcoholic beverage so...maybe?
    • He also orders club soda and cranberry juice in the night club later on in the film...
  • It's entirely possible. Besides, would you want to be drunk when you're possibly going to have to be running for your life from a bunch of very pissed-off Russian terrorists or pulling an insane stunt later?
• There was a scene where Xander was taking pictures through a wall with an X-ray binoculars with flash on. Why would he need the flash if he's taking pictures through a wall?
  • Maybe it uses the flash for normal pictures and no one bothered to program it to turn off the flash when it uses x-ray mode.
    • Or, being a normal guy who is unfamiliar with how to use such tech, he forgot to turn the flash off in X-Ray mode.
• How does an organization like the FSB "forget" about an asset? Surely, some restructuring at the administrative level wouldn't cause them to forget that they have agents, would they?
  • It's RUSSIA. Yes. Yes it would. Deep Cover Agents also tend to have a bit of trouble with being lost, since they don't have a lot of details on their identities.
