, Sock.Clip talked about how she stopped liking Julian during the development of Definitive Edition — which is why he went from being an alternate version of Whitty to just someone that resembles him — but included him anyway because of both the work put into him and how "Faucet" wouldn't make sense without him. At the time of the post, she had since become unsure what to make of him. - Dummied Out: While Girlfriend no longer gets scared during Whitty's breakdown in "Ballistic" in the Definitive Edition, her scared sprites are still in her sheet, and go completely unused.
- Follow the Leader: The first well-known mod where the final song dramatically raises the stakes, the opponent Turns Red or goes One-Winged Angel, and the song itself is more difficult compared to the previous songs. This became such an oversaturated concept that many later mods specifically went on to either avert it, subvert it or lampshade it.
- Fanwork Ban: After enough time had passed, Sock.Clip banned all her characters from mods, and that included Julian as well. Somewhat subverted as of today as not even a few weeks later, Sock.Clip announced on her instagram that Whitty is now allowed in mods so she could stop getting DMs from fans.
- Referenced by...: Whitty has appeared twice so far in Friday Night Funkin' Logic, and is the first mod character Player encounters.
- Serendipity Writes the Plot: The existence of Nitty Gritty and his song "Faucet" were inspired by the mod's charter, SandPlanet, leaking Julian's design to 4chan months before the release of the Definitive Edition; Nitty Gritty's design was also directly taken from a 4channer who tried to draw Julian from memory after seeing the leak.
- What Could Have Been:
- Following the release of the mod, there were plans for an expansion known as the "WhitMore Mod", which would've contained official B-Side, Neo, and Corruption remixes for Whitty, in addition to a Minus reskin of him. This was cancelled in light of SockClip's departure from the community. With the revival of the base mod, exactly what will happen to the expansion is a mystery, though it is likely that work on it will not be resumed.
- There would be even more cameosnote for the Date Week mod but bbpanzu unfortunately forgot to add them.
- Originally due to the two being formerly regarded as best friends, Tabi and AGOTI were planned to cameo together; as Homskiy decided to drop that idea due to controversies surrounding the actual AGOTI, bbpanzu removed the AGOTI cameo and replaced him with Fun-sized Whitty◊.
- While the pairing of Whitty and Carol was supported by SockClip and bbpanzu, it eventually became non-canon at the former's request, meaning the Date Week only serves as an AU of sorts now.
- Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: SockClip left the Friday Night Funkin' community and cancelled all work on the "WhitMore expansion for it due to people on social media harassing Homskiy (the creator of Tabi's mod) for the similarities between Tabi and Whitty's poses and charting for "Ballistic" and "Genocide", accusing Homskiy of ripping off Whittynote .
