  • Crossdressing Voices:
    • The agender Skyler Davenport plays the cisgender woman Scarlett.
    • The male Gloucester and Lhinalagos are both played by trans women (Sena Bryer and Kdin Jenzen respectively).
  • Demand Overload: The physical version of the game sold out in less than a week in Japan, leading to Atlus issuing an apology for the sudden shortage.
  • Development Hell: The game had been in development for over ten years, starting after the release of Dragon's Crown, with some delays due to director Takafumi Noma being needed for other Vanillaware projects such as 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Vanillaware later revealed they basically ran out of money finishing the game.
  • Extremely Lengthy Creation: The game took over a decade to see fruition due various other projects getting in the way of development.
  • Fake Brit: In the English dub, all the angels are given British accents, yet voiced by American voice actors such as Damien Haas, Rachelle Heger, Xanthe Huynh, and so on.
  • Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition: In addition to an art book and soundtrack with 16-bit arrangements, the collector's edition features a whole card game.
  • No Port For You: In an interview with Atlus producer, Akiyasu Yamamoto, he stated that, due to an agreement between them and Vanillaware, there are no plans for a PC port.
  • Uncredited Role: The English voice actors for Mordon, Berenice, Ramona and Belisarios are not credited.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Mutually Exclusive Party Members were considered, but ultimately decided against because the size of the complete game would make forced replaying more tedious.
    • The artbook reveals several concepts of gender variants of existing classes, like female hunters and gladiators and male clerics, and unused class ideas, like a dancer and bard, an arquebusier, a female warrior with Wolverine Claws, a skeleton warrior, and a mounted Valkyria that never made it into the final product.
    • Battle damage was once a considered feature of the game, but was dropped.
