• The Cast Show Off: Brendan Gleeson does his own fiddle playing in the movie.
• Completely Different Title: In Latin America and Italy, the film was released as Los espíritus de la isla and Gli spiriti dell'isola respectively, both meaning "The Spirits of the Island".
• Divorced Installment: Started life as The Banshees of Inisheer, the third installment in the Aran Islands Trilogy, which McDonagh was unhappy with and never published. It's unknown how much, if any, of that original story remains in this one. It also got renamed, from the real Inisheer to the fictional "Inisherin".
• Production Posse:
  • Colin Farrell's third film with Martin McDonagh, re-uniting with Brendan Gleeson from In Bruges.
  • Kerry Condon also rejoins McDonagh after Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and her first screen role that's actually Irish (she also played the lead role in his stage play, The Beauty Queen of Leenane.
  • Additionally, Ben Davis and Carter Burwell from McDonagh's previous films return as cinematographer and composer once again.
• Those Two Actors: The film marks the third time Colin Farrell and Barry Keoghan appeared in the same film, after The Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Batman (2022).
