- Channel Hop: When NBCUniversal acquired Pioneer/Geneon from Dentsu in 2008, they also acquired the rights to Sol Bianca: The Legacy.
- Children Voicing Children: In Sol Bianca, Rim Delapaz is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa, who was nearly 14 years old at the time of the first OVA's release; this is carried over to the foreign releases.
- Completely Different Title: When Pioneer Entertainment released the second series, they called it Sol Bianca: The Legacy.
- International Coproduction: The Legacy was produced by Pioneer and Pioneer LDC in Japan, and by Pioneer Entertainment in the United States.
- The Other Darrin: The English version of Sol Bianca was dubbed at Houston's Industrial Smoke & Mirrors. For The Legacy, it was instead dubbed at Los Angeles's Animaze/ZRO Limit Productions and everyone was inevitably recast.
