• Acting in the Dark: She had no idea she was going to be called up in the 2016 draft, and was actually texting her mother at the moment her name was called. Her shocked reaction was entirely genuine.
• Dear Negative Reader: In 2021, a Twitter thread compiling all the instances of Nia apparently injuring people in the ring or being unsafe was met with mocking from the woman herself - with her declaring "a thread full of whiners".
• Friendship on the Set: She calls Alexa Bliss her best friend, and were so close that the latter found it incredibly difficult to say mean things about Nia's weight during their feud.
• Real Life Writes the Hairstyle: While she was recovering from a torn ACL, she opted for short hair because it had been dried up from all the straightening. When she returned to TV, it was longer again.
• Serendipity Writes the Plot: Nia's carelessness in the ring has caused a number of injuries to her coworkers, for which she has rightly been criticised, but one of them famously worked out for the best- when she infamously broke Becky Lynch's nose during a brawl on the Survivor Series 2018 go-home episode of RAW and gave her a concussion, not only did it give the already massively-over Becky an iconic "Stone Cold" Steve Austin moment as she no-sold the injury, finished the segment, and stood defiantly on the steps with blood smeared all over her, but Becky's forced withdrawal from her Survivor Series match against Ronda Rousey due to the injury led to the pair's eventual showdown being moved forward to the main event of WrestleMania 35, a massive first for WWE's women's division.
• Throw It In!:
  • During her backstage argument with Alicia Fox, the latter accidentally hit her with a tissue box while throwing things around. She briefly came out of character to apologise, but since they were live, Nia rolled with it and improvised shoving her. They were then praised for continuing to improvise while live.
  • The infamous "my hole" moment came about because of a joke between her and Triple H during a rehearsal, where he sarcastically said she should react that way. She opted to do it in the hopes of making everyone backstage laugh. Not realising that the camera caught the entire thing, she came backstage afterwards to find everyone howling with laughter.
• Wag the Director: Nia's mini-feud with Ronda Rousey came about because she felt Ronda was injuring Alexa Bliss too much, and offered to work with her instead.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The tease of a romance with Enzo Amore could have gone further. According to both Enzo and Nia herself, the plan was for Enzo to be revealed to be using her to interfere in his Cruiserweight Title matches while being in a relationship with Alexa Bliss, resulting in him being added as the referee of their eventual match at WrestleMania 34. However, Enzo was fired before that could happen.
  • The match at Survivor Series 2018 was actually supposed to have Sasha Banks as the sole survivor, but Vince McMahon changed it at the last minute to capitalise on the heat Nia was getting for injuring Becky Lynch.
  • Her Tables match with Lana was originally going to end with Lana actually putting her through a table, but creative intervened and had it changed to Nia accidentally going through one on the floor.
  • There were plans for a 'My Hole' t-shirt and she herself liked the design, but it was scrapped so as not to turn a Wrestling Monster into a joke character.
