to director Haruki Suzaki, when he first signed on to the project he found out that there were previous attempts to legitimately make a follow up to to the original (though he didn’t specify which consoles). - The Other Darrin: In the English version, Griffin Burns steps in for James Carter Cathcart in the original game and in the anime as the voice of Todd, potentially justified by him growing up.
- Role Reprise: In the Japanese version, Kappei Yamaguchi returns to voice Todd.
- Sequel Gap: This game was released a whopping twenty-two years after the original Pokémon Snap.
