  • Banned in China: The game was banned in New Zealand on account of the sexual exploitation of minors as well as the use of coercion to compel someone to submit to sexual contact.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Double Peace getting a localization is heavily attributed to Ekoro's appearance in the Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty No. 9 spinoff game Mighty Gunvolt, which marked the first appearance of Ekoro and anything related to Gal*Gun outside of Japan.
  • Milestone Celebration: Gal*Gun Returns celebrates the series 10th Anniversary.
  • No Export for You: The first game was never brought out of Japan, although Ekoro's Ensemble Dark Horse status in Mighty Gunvolt ensured that the rest of the games saw international releases. The first game ultimately ended up getting an Updated Re-release that was localized.
  • Remade for the Export: The original version of the first Gal*Gun on the Xbox 360 and its updated PlayStation 3 port was never released overseas, however, its remaster will be available overseas.
  • Screwed by the Network: An Xbox One version of Gal*Gun Returns was initially announced and was completed, however, Microsoft was planning to bowdlerise the Xbox One version but Inti Creates did not want to compromise the game's content, thus Inti Created decided to cancel the Xbox One version instead to ensure all versions are consistent.
  • Sequel First: Gal*Gun: Double Peace was released outside of Japan before Gal*Gun Returns brought the original.
