- Acting in the Dark: Atsushi Abe, Sakura Tange and Kana Ueda, who voiced Hakuno, Nero and Rin respectively, had no idea where the story is going. In Abe's case who only voiced his character for the Drama CD, he doesn't know how he can approach this version of Hakuno who is completely different from the one in the Drama CD.
- All-Star Cast: The anime unites several high-profile animators from SHAFT, with Kinoko Nasu as scenario writer and Arco Wada as character designer. Not to mention the voice actors, some of them are Fate series veterans. Also, the opening by TM Revolution, and the ending theme by Sayuri.
- Creator's Favorite: Ever since Fate/EXTRA was released in 2008, Kinoko Nasu often mentions that this series is his favorite Fate project.
- The Other Darrin:
- A meta-example happens in the Latin American Spanish dub: While not the being the first Latin American dub from a animated adaptation of the Nasuverse, nor the first dubbed in Mexico, this is technically the first time the characters from the original Fate/stay night (other than the original Saber) are dubbed by Mexican voice actors, as the very first animated adaptation was dubbed in Venezuela, even if technically the animated adaptation is an Alternate Timeline from the original game and anime.
- English dub wise, it is averted for nearly everyone except Kirei Kotomine, who is voiced by Armen Taylor here rather than Crispin Freeman on account of this dub being a non-union production: the same reason that Artoria was not Kari Wahlgren in Apocrypha.
- In the Italian dub, Chiara Francese replaces Katia Sorrentino as Rin, Sabrina Bonfitto replaces Tiziana Martello as Sakura, Ruggero Andreozzi replaces Paolo De Santis as Shinji and Maurizio Trombini replaces Claudio Moneta as Kirei.
- Schedule Slip: The series was supposed to come out in 2017, but for some reason it came out nearly a full year later then originally planned. No word was given why, but it was likely due to story re-writes of some kind.
- What Could Have Been: For some reason, actually showing the battle against the 4th Floor Servant (the playable Caster from Extra; Tamamo) was scrapped and the floor was skipped entirely, likely due to the amount of episodes given.
