Trivia / Dragon Age: Absolution

• Playing Against Type: Josh Keaton is mostly known for playing ingenue heroic characters like Anduin Wrynn or Spiderman. Playing an arrogant, abusive villain like Rezaren is a pretty big departure from his usual fare.
• Production Posse: This series shares most of its voice-acting department with The Legend of Vox Machina: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is the voice-director for both series; Matthew Mercer is a main voice-actor on both shows and the creative mastermind behind the latter series due to being the DM of the Dungeons & Dragons actual-play webseries Critical Role; Ashly Burch is a scriptwriter on The Legend of Vox Machina and has had multiple guest characters on Critical Role; Sumalee Montano also had a small voice-acting role in The Legend of Vox Machina and a guest character on Critical Role; and Phil LaMarr has also guested a couple of times on Critical Role (though not during the main campaign storylines that are currently being converted into animated form). And both animated series share the queer scriptwriter Mae Catt.
• Recycled Script: The plot of making a high stake heist in Tevinter was initially planned to be the main plot for the next Dragon Age game after Inquisition, the so-called "Project Joplin" version. However, this idea was scrapped around 2016 when Bioware needed manpower to focus on finishing Mass Effect: Andromeda and later Anthem. Bioware scrapped the whole thing and started anew on the project we now know as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
• Role Reprise:
  • Miranda Raison as Cassandra Pentaghast in her brief appearance in Episode 1. The last time she voiced Cassandra was for the Trespasser DLC of Dragon Age: Inquisition, which was released in 2015.
  • 11 years after last voicing the character, Jean Gilpin gets to voice Meredith Stannard (the Big Bad of Dragon Age II) once again when the latter makes an appearance in The Stinger of the final episode.
