  • Breakthrough Hit: Despite, or perhaps because of, the cover controversy, this album was the first Roxy Music album to do significant business in America.
  • Referenced by...:
    • Talking Heads would later feature a prominent slide guitar part in "The Big Country" on their 1978 album, More Songs About Buildings and Food, as a nod to "Prairie Rose"; the Talking Heads song also takes its title from a line in the Roxy Music song. Brian Eno, who produced More Songs About Buildings and Food, was a former member of Roxy Music and still kept up with the work they put out even after he left.
    • The U.S. censorship of the cover inspired Hipgnosis to wrap Pink Floyd's 1975 album Wish You Were Here (1975) in a black nylon bag as well; of note is that Phil Manzanera was a personal acquaintance of Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour. The idea would also be reused by Death Grips for the physical edition of No Love Deep Web, put out by Pink Floyd's '70s label, Harvest Records.
  • She Also Did: Constanze Karoli, one of the models on the cover, is the sister of Michael Karoli of German Krautrock band Can.
