Trivia / Captain Sparklez

  • Artist Disillusionment: Due to the "Stop Having Fun" Guys angrily bashing him for not being able to memorise the contents of over 100 mods for "Ultra Modded Survival", Jordan came very close to outright ending the series, finally losing it with some more extreme fans. While it doesn't appear to have dampened his views on other fans, it's one of the only times where he's reacted angrily.
  • Colbert Bump: Partially responsible for this happening to Minecraft, though not entirely. Also to a lesser extent with Garry's Mod, although again not entirely and in this case this is collaboration with SeaNanners.
  • Executive Meddling:
    • Both he and his partner in crime Try Hard Ninja have been hit by this- owing to copyright lawyers, neither of them are willing to do many parodies any more.
    • Whereas some videos such as "Revenge" were initially protected under a "grandfather clause" of sorts, the videos have since been taken down and Jordan has been forced to remake the songs to the point that they don't sound remotely similar any more.
  • Name's the Same: Has nothing to do with Sparkles* of the Yogscast and Area 11.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: He's well acquainted with Achievement Hunter, but they have never publicly collaborated.
  • Old Shame: When looking back at his first video, he seemed downright embarrassed.
  • Playing Against Type: His role in "Pixel Cops", where he plays a hardass police commissioner who turns out to be a serial murderer.

  • Promoted Fanboy: Of SeaNanners, who he now plays games with and knows well in real life.
  • Why the Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: In this video, Jordan finally gets annoyed with "Stop Having Fun" Guys angrily bashing his creation and irrationally raging at him for not being able to memorise the content for well over 100 mods. As a result, the Ultra-Modded Survival series was at one point hanging precariously and he was very tempted to not continue it.
