- Dueling Games:
- Blasphemous is extremely similar to Unworthy, which is also a 2D side-scrolling Hack and Slash Metroidvania inspired by Dark Souls and whose plot centers around a Corrupt Church / Religion of Evil. The latter came out much earlier in May 2018, rendering any financial competition moot.
- Then, Dark Devotion also forms an interesting counterpart to both of the above, as while it shares the same inspirations in terms of its gameplay, its themes are diametrically opposed to either, treating religion as a way to salvation, and heresy and sin as the gateway to doom, instead of considering religion as the problem in the first place. Much like Unworthy, it released earlier in April 2019.
- The Other Darrin: Miriam is voiced in English by Rosalie Craig instead of Erica Lindbeck, her voice actress in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
- The Other Marty: Both Esdras and Crisanta had their dialogue re-recorded for The Stir of Dawn DLC.
