- Breakup Breakout: While the band were more influential than successful, both Love and Rockets and Peter Murphy had hit singles in The United States, being among the first wave of Alternative Rock artists to achieve mainstream success in the country alongside the likes of R.E.M., The Cure, New Order, Depeche Mode, Midnight Oil, and The B-52s.
- Colbert Bump: In the early 80s, Peter Murphy starred in a tv-advert for Maxell's audio cassettes. The ad became well-known to the point that new audience started coming to Bauhaus shows just because they recognised Peter from the advert.
- Theme Tune: Bauhaus contributed to Saturday Night Live's ''Goth Talk'' sketch with Bella Lugosi's Dead.
- What Could Have Been: A year or two after Bauhaus broke up, Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins tried to reunite the band. David J joined them, but Peter Murphy didn't. So instead of going forth as an incomplete Bauhaus, the three decided to form Love and Rockets instead.
