Tear Jerker / LEGO Elves: Secrets of Elvendale

• Episode 1: While the initial escape is Played for Laughs, watching the elves cry as the treehouse burns down is rather heartbreaking.
• Episode 3: Emily and the elves encounter Rosalyn and her ill dragon Sapphire. Despite Sapphire's illness making her lash out at them, the group feel nothing but sympathy for the poor creature.
• Episode 6: Rosalyn's flashback to when Cronan first betrayed her. He even goes so far as to use his Mind Control magic to force her own animal subjects to turn on her.
  Rosalyn: Please, Cronan! Don't you see the harm you're doing? We can fix this, together!
  Cronan: (briefly hesitates, then sadly looks at his amulet) There is no we anymore.
  • During the ensuing battle, Cronan's own dragon Ashwing sides with Rosalyn. Sadly, Ashwing gets injured shielding Sapphire. Which causes the poor creature to go feral and almost kill Rosalyn.
• Episode 8: Cronan (in the form of his child self) finally reunites with his mother in a Blank White Void. She soothes him and thanks him for all his efforts to bring her back...only to tell him immediately after that he must let her go. Or risk being corrupted by the dark magic he's trying to control like what happened to her. Cronan's tears as she fades into the void are gut-wrenching to see.
  Quartzine: I only live in your memory now, Cronan. And if you allow evil to fill you, even that memory will disappear...
  • Rosalyn seemingly getting killed by the out-of-control Ashwing. Farran and Naida's reactions especially can tug at the heartstrings.
