Tear Jerker / Juno Songs

  • While "C-R-O-W-N-E-D" is an upbeat, somewhat dramatic song, Juno's lyrics for it are really sad. Magolor gets horrified by the monster he became, the song makes it more explicit that the Master Crown is controlling him, and, as he loses himself to the Master Crown, is using the last of his free will to commit Suicide by Cop, the cop being Kirby. Magolor also reveals that he hopes Kirby can forgive him. Needless to say, a lot of fans were brought to tears by Magolor's Heel Realization and do forgive him.
  • Dialga's fight to the finish. Dialga just sounds so sad, so afraid..., he's been corrupted and driven to madness against his will and in the song Dialga is using his last grip on rationality to hold himself back slightly as he silently begs the players to defeat him, trying to resist the rage enough to not outright kill them. This song plays Dark Is Evil completely straight as Dialga mourns that the dark broke time's flow and shrouded both him and the skies.
Dialga: (in utter despair) The Dark broke time's flow!
The Heroes: We'll bring back time's flow!
Naturmacht: You show perfectly what the game failed to make clear: That Dialga had no control over himself and that the real Dialga literally almost lost to Primal Dialga when the hero and his partner reach the top of Temporal Tower. In the end Primal Dialga didn't lose to two but three Pokémon.
  • Juno revisits the Halloween 2020 upload with a cover of "Triple Trouble" from the Vs Sonic.EXE mod for Friday Night Funkin', depicting the victims of Xenophanes going through differing stages of grief in accepting their demise and pleading with Boyfriend to end the torment. Accompanying the song is lavish artwork of Boyfriend in genuine distress seeing the fates of the prisoners. Tails doubled over in terror as he sees his killer in the flames around him even though he's been blinded, Knuckles punching a steel girder to pieces out of equal parts anger and sorrow at feeling so weak, and Eggman laughing at his own hubris as he sits atop a throne made of the rusted husks of his most prolific robot sidekicks, some of which he considered genuine family.
  • "A Tribute to Charles Martinet" is a bittersweet ode to the man who provided the voices of the Mario Bros. and many other Mario characters for over thirty years, sung by Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi to the tune of the Super Mario 64 staff roll. Special mention goes to the very end:
Juno: "Thank you so much-a, for to making our games-a unforgettable! We wish you-a luck, as our Super Mario Ambassador! On behalf of all of the fans-a, we'd like to give you one last... WAHOO!"
  • The Area Zero Lab. Just like in the source material, the A.I. is very torn up about its programming forcing it to fight the player character in order to deactivate the time machine. Unlike the source material, there are several moments during the song where the A.I. briefly manages to regain control, where it's horrified by the destruction the ancient/future beasts will bring if the player fails to stop it and pleads for the player to keep fighting. This gets worse when the Paradise Protection Protocol locks everyone's Pokeballs, so all the A.I. can do is beg for the children to flee. This isn't helped by the artwork arranging the terastallization crystals on the A.I.'s face to make it look like it's crying.
Only you can stand up all alone
Stand up to a foolish dream long overblown!
Strike me down, so that I may atone
For the one who saw too late that scarlet/violet power...
  • Alone was already a pretty depressing song considering it takes place in an alternate timeline where Luigi couldn't save Mario during the events of the first Luigi's Mansion, but Juno's cover manages to make the song more depressing, complete with various lyrics of the song where Luigi lambasts himself for failing to save Mario, including the lyrical section in the original song where Mario says that he misses Luigi, the ending of the song sounds like Luigi is about to break down crying. Then he ends up crying when Peach and Toad show up to comfort him.
