COUNTER:SIDE - Coffin Company

Counter Side Coffin Company Allies

Counter Side Main Antagonists

Counter Side Minor Antagonists

  • Adorable Abomination: The Needler tends to be treated cutely in certain skins, showing their relative weakness as comedy rather than horror.
  • Enemy to All Living Things: With very few exceptions, C.O.s are hostile to all life on the Normalside.
  • Enemy Without: Doppelgangers are C.O.s that emerged from Shadow Palaces and take on the appearance and abilities of surrounding entities exposed to corruption, whether they be Counters, soldiers, or even mechs. They require a constant fuel of Eternium, and as incomplete C.O.s they're driven by the desire to consume their original to become whole.
  • Giant Space Flea from Nowhere: In "Vice President's Holidays", the Moderator appears out of the blue in Mone's village. Machine G.A.P. theorizes that it was summoned because Sooyeon's Reactive Sword that Lara Jaeger was carrying worked as a catalyst with the unstable Dimensional Surface created by Lara's Counter ability. It ends up becoming the event's Final Boss.
  • Monstrous Cannibalism: C.O.s and Doppelgangers will sometimes eat each other to grow stronger.
  • The Pawns Go First: The fight against the Inhibitor begins with The Wall, a defensive C.O. that will take no damage until it is hit enough times in a short span. It acts as a roadblock that needs to be defeated before your units can go after the Inhibitor itself.
  • Power Levels: The Administration places both Counters and C.O.s into Categories that indicate how powerful they are. Counters are graded A to D, while C.O.s have six levels:
    • Category 1 and 2 tend to be manageable by conventional weaponry and most Counters, with 1 being a general nuisance and 2 being a potential threat.
    • Category 3 is the limit of what most Counters can handle on their own and require overwhelming firepower from conventional means.
    • Category 4 qualifies for Person of Mass Destruction status, capable of doing massive damage if left unchecked and requiring a powerful Counter or multiple skilled ones to take down.
    • Category 5 borders on Physical God, and is so rare that most people think they're just an urban legend.
    • Category 6 is even more rarely seen, to the point where even much of the Administration's personnel believe that the scale only goes up to 5. The emergence of one is usually the Administration's cue to pack up and abandon their current timeline entirely.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: The Inhibitor and Britra the Thunderpeal, two of the most powerful recurring C.O.s, are gray at lower levels but black with glowing red highlights at levels 130 and 150.
  • Spider Tank: The Arachnes, a playable unit, and the Moderator, a machine made to scout the Counterside that has now fallen to corruption, are both quadrupedal robots with a spider-like shape.
  • Spikes of Villainy: Many Corrupted Objects have irregular, jagged growths on their bodies, especially more powerful ones.
  • Tiered by Name: The basic C.O. varieties come in three increasingly powerful variations in-game, denoted by either having no prefix, "Mutated", or "Raged" in front of their name. They also have color changes to denote this, with the basic tier having red markings, Mutated enemies having purple, and Raged ones having green.
  • Was Once Human:
    • Shadows, also categorized as Demon-type C.O.s by the Administration, are Counters who have succumbed to either Corruption Rays or severe injury from a C.O.
    • In Episode 5, Replacer King infers that the majority of C.O.s are the previous worlds' inhabitants that were absorbed into the Counterside.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: The Inhibitor will fire a giant laser beam from its "mouth" at one point during the fight. It will also sweep the battlefield with smaller but still sizeable lasers at regular intervals.
