Film – Animated

  • Cars 3: In The Stinger, Mater sings a variation of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" to himself.
  • The Iron Giant: In the "Signature Edition" cut, a portion of the Disneyland title sequence that mentions Tomorrowland appears Hogarth's TV as he tries to hide the Giant's hand from his mom. Brad Bird originally wanted it for the original 1999 cut, but he couldn't get permission from Disney, and instead opted for an old Maypo commercial.

  • Iron Man 2: Howard Stark's public persona is similar to how Walt Disney appeared when hosting his show.

Live-Action TV

  • The George Lopez Show: In "George Goes to Disneyland", George visits Disneyland for the first time and recognizes Sleeping Beauty Castle as the same one that Tinker Bell came out of at the beginning of every show.

Western Animation

  • Animaniacs (1993): The in the short "Slappy Goes Walnuts", one of Doug the Dog's tricks to catch Slappy is planting a video called The Wonderful World of Walnuts for her to watch on a TV set. The video starts with a parody of the "World of Color" theme song, and the narrator of the show sounds like Disney regular Rex Allen.
    Slappy: I hear Buddy Hackett is good in this.
  • The Bullwinkle Show:
    • During a period when the show was hosted by a live-action Bullwinkle puppet, the moose frequently made jokes at Walt Disney's expense, as the Wonderful World of Color came up right after his on NBC's Sunday night lineup.
    • The last episode in the "Painting Theft" arc is given the two titles, "Dollars to Doughnuts" or "The Wonderful World of Cruller".
  • My Life as a Teenage Robot: An episode that takes place in the Wizzly World theme park is titled "The Wonderful World of Wizzly".
  • Tiny Toon Adventures: A sketch from "Acme Cable TV" is a parody of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, in which Dizzy Devil (as "Walt Dizzy") introduces a heartwarming nature story called The Cat Who Thought He Was a Hammerhead Shark (a parody of Disney's own The Hound That Thought He Was a Raccoon).
