  • Back to the Future: Since 1955 was the year "Crockett-mania" was in full swing, several references appear during Marty's journey there.
    • Towards the end of the "Mister Sandman" Sequence, a sign on a record store is advertising that they new records of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" and "Sixteen Tons".
    • When Marty enters the diner, Fess Parker's recording of the theme song playing from the jukebox. However, the recording came from the version heard on the Disneyland TV show and not Parker's single available at the time.
    • Lorraine's little brother Milton wears a coonskin cap.

  • Animaniacs: The short "Davy Omelette" is a parody of the Disney films with Chicken Boo as the titular frontiersman.
  • Family Guy: In "Bigfat", Peter and his friends are stranded in the woods, and Quagmire says they'll do what Davy Crockett would do to survive, saying that he killed a bear when he was only three. In the ensuing Cutaway Gag, Mr. and Mrs. Crockett express concern for their three-year-old's mental health because he's murdering animals for fun.
  • The Ghost and Molly McGee: In "Monumental Disaster", Ezekiel Tugbottom's theme song is a parody of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett".
  • Woody Woodpecker: The 1956 short Woody Meets Davy Crewcut is a spoof of the Disney series.
