Crossing the drawbridge from Noork's Elbow, Prisoner 849 enters the chambers of an ancient temple devoted to Vandora, the Nali Goddess of Ligtning. In there, the sacred Torch of Tranquility is waiting to be set aflame. Further ahead lies an amphitheatre with a nasty surprise that must be overcome in order to proceed further.
These ancient chambers sanctify examples of:
- Early-Bird Cameo: By the pool surrounding the Torch of Tranquility you'll find ammo for Razorjack in plain view - several levels before you can get your hands on the weapon.
- Foreshadowing: You can get a glimpse of the amphitheatre through a barred gate that cannot be opened any way. It leads to a stage. The stage is empty. It won't be when you actually get to the area proper.
- Mayincatec: Not as much as in the Chizra Temple but the architecture still contains notable elements of this.
- Multi Boobage: Vandora, the Nali godess of ligtning is depicted on a mural having four mammaries.
- Nothing Is Scarier: The area surrounding the Torch of Tranquility is pitch dark. A nasty floating Jump Scare awaits you there.
- Offscreen Teleportation: The Titan appears on the stage shortly before you enter the amphitheatre proper. When viewing the stage from the temple earlier the stage was completely empty.
- Point of No Return: Subverted. Once you enter to the Amphitheatre, the door closes behind you, preventing you from escaping the arena. However once you defeat the Titan, the door reopens and you can even get to the previously unaccessiblenote elevated walkway over the Amphitheatre.
- Red Herring: In the second part of the temple, a Skaarj warrior rushes to press a button on a nearby wall before engaging you. By use of Save Scummingnote it is possible to kill him before he actually has a chance to press it. However when you succeed in doing so you find out the button doesn't really do anything.
- Secret Room:
- There's one at the beginning of the pool. You can catch a glimpse of it through the grate in the floor. There, you'll find a dead Nali grasping at a Flak Cannon.
- A more proper one is found later in the upper section of the temple, right next to the fountain. To get in you have to follow Vandora's instructions:
